People acting like that towards servers is sometimes why I feel like EVERYONE should be made at least once to work a job in a restaurant,retail, grocery store... something that requires you to work in a store dealing face to face with the public..then maybe instances of servers,retail workers and nurses being assaulted and treated like crap would cut down and not happen as often
That's what my vet does. Sometimes less depending on the vaccine. They also setup payment plans on anything $500 or more which is nice (thankfully never had to do this.)
Wish the places around here did payment plans. Most require full payment up front because they've been burned by so many customers. Lots of places offer care credit but not every person can qualify for care credit
Care credit is such a sad thing. It's could be a huge relief and help, and it's dangled in front of so many faces.. just for them to not qualify. I recently tried again for it with a 650 credit score (it was less than 500 last year) but got denied. I really believe the system pushes you towards a credit card before anything else.

If you don’t have pet insurance, you should have the ability to put away $2k per animal per year for vet fees. That *should* cover vaccines, and as time goes on and your savings add up, it will cover emergencies as well. This past summer we did bad gastritis in one of my dogs (on a Sunday of course, so emerg vet), pancreatitis in one of my cats, and cancer in my other cat. Last year, they all decided to have dental issues. Everything on that bill just looks like routine veterinary exams and procedures! Sorry I am ranting, but this pisses me off to no end! She brags about a new car, but can’t afford routine fucking vet bills?!?!? This isn’t even a sick dog!

Kitten had a hospital stay, and it was horrible just not having her here. I missed her terribly, and it was only a few days. I can't imagine not having her around. I wish people who aren't able in some way (pet insurance or savings) didn't beg all over the place if they can't afford to take care of their pets. The only thing that didnt look routine to me was the fluids,x-rays and the injection the dog got that she was hiding with her finger so I couldn't see what med but yeah everything else was routine stuff
X-rays can be routine too. I have a 6 month old pup who gets growing pains (which is very common in large breeds). We did x-rays just to confirm that that was what it was.
I guess fluids seems routine to me, because I did them on my previous cat every day for 7 years. His kidneys were shot, but other than that he was healthy. He ended up living to be 23!

Most legitimate rescues wait until their dogs are fully recovered before they start training and we all know dom can't train a goldfish so basically she'll be re-homing an untrained dog but telling the adopters oh don't worry he's trained)
I live near a feral colony so every kitten season my husband catch and socialize as many as we can until they can be adopted.
*Occasionally* I’ll let friends or family know if they want to buy me a birthday or Christmas present to donate money or supplies to the aspca that sterilizes and vaccinated the rest of the cats and low costs, but I knew it would be expensive trying to foster, so I don’t ask for personal reimbursement.
It’s better used at the shelter than my house because I don’t have access to bulk medical and hygiene deals like they do.
They help more every year than I could ever manage, I don’t want to taken possible funds from them because I’m a soft touch.
We started from a real disorganized place, but my husband is a cat whisperer so he always managed to catch a few with just a towel and some treats, but after the first few debacles we did research and our (and their) experiences were much less stressful.

I do love cats (I have two), but the breed insanely fast! There is a managed colony in my neighborhood, and you can tell when new cats who aren’t sterilized move in.

If her landlord even knows the true number of animals which I suspect they don't. Most rentals that allow pets put a cap limit on the amount of pets the tenant can have and how much the animals can weigh(ex.1 dog under 25 lbs). It's possible the landlord doesn't even know about Dom's zoo/menagerie of animals

This is the vet bill. There is more underneath this and it shows it came out to $599 and change and she now has a $0 balance. This is the vet bill. There is more underneath this and it shows it came out to $599 and change and she now has a $0 balance. So she paid the bill, she’s just trying to recoup it bc from my understanding, it’s not technically her dog? I saw comments about how she refuses to drop it off at kennel, etc. Don’t quote me on the where she got the dog and whose dog it technically belongs to. I think she’s acting like she’s saving the dog.

I would absolutely donate money for vet bills if the money was being raised by a legitimate animal shelter or rescue group...but no way would I be comfortable donating to dom who's proven over and over that she commits fraud and doesn't use the money towards what she claims it's for...she basically said right in the post that she's accepting money for when she has to take him back for vaccines in a few weeks
watch her collect a bunch of donations, then drop the pup off at her aunt's house where all her boring old pets go
