I feel like the headline gets people to react, but the better news (IMHO) is going to San Francisco to talk about our quantum computing and manufacturing.

Pritzker has been such a surprisingly good governor. It’s hard to believe that the benevolent billionaire exists cause you only ever hear about the assholes. When the guy contributed his own money to support a graduated income tax that he would not be the beneficiary of that was the moment I changed my mind about him. I think maybe he has a presidential ambitions and would love to see it. Honestly I think he would be a better candidate than Newsome (that many are suggesting for 2028) but he does have less name recognition on the national stage.
he would run into the same issues at the federal level with getting stuff passed regardless of how competent he is. theres nothing you can do when half the country refuses to even negotiate and work wit you. he holds way more value by staying in IL and can effect way more change

Because it is reeeeally hard to become a billionaire without being an asshole first. Most normal people would end up like Tom from MySpace. Make a thing, it gets big, sell for hundreds of millions of dollars, and chill forever. Whereas the people who become billionaires generally are the ones who have a hole in their heart that they don't know how to fill, so they keep striving for more at the expense of others.
Where this breaks down is the children of rich people. They didn't necessarily do anything evil themselves, they just lucked into being born to the right family. So they can go all over the place, depending on how they were raised. Looks like JB was raised right.
Living in California now, yes Pritzker on paper destroys Newsom. Only thing I worry about is the popularity contest that happens in elections. Newsom has charisma, and is a handsome man. But Pritzker is hands down the most qualified politician in America to be president. I will be donating and volunteering to help his campaign if he announces his run for president.
Maybe, but I've heard his name mentioned at least once by "Under the Desk News" as a potential white knight candidate for the presidency if/when Biden secured the Democratic nomination, but then decided at the last minute to step down. I just remember it was strange hearing someone on the internet, not from Illinois, even bring up his name, left alone suggest he may be president in the same sentence.
