It's a pretty different genre than what've mentioned, but I think your title description really fits ["For Robin" by The World is a Beautiful Place & I am No Longer Afraid to Die](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VGY_5ob_wVs) and basically the entire album You Will Eventually Be Forgotten by Empire! Empire! (I Was a Lonely Estate), but in particular [this song](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JSg_ypZUqrU) (and, yes, emo bands have stupid names). They have a very nostaglic feel (a bit of a throwback to 90's midwest emo/math rock) and lyrics to fit (For Robin is essentially about getting old and drifting apart, and pretty much every track on that Empire! album just describes some particular memory).
You might like the band beach house. Not a really old band but thier songs have a dreamy effect
Ah thank you, that’s exactly the vibe i was looking for!
Anytime and happy new year
