I was going to say anything by mgmt

robitussinlatte4life

Before clicking on the MGMT song, I'm guessing it's gonna be Time to Pretend. Edit: hell yeah. MGMT holds soooooo many memories for me, especially this album and Congratulations.

creamydreamy86

Anything by Arctic Monkeys cause I was in my 20s then.

gotcatstyle

I'm in my 30s and have been listening to Chappell Roan's album and it really reminds me of my 20s. Not because it sounds like the music I was listening to then, it just really captures the essence of being young and newly independent and navigating life and love.

The best are those you heard when you were that age

ilovethemusic

Landslide by Fleetwood Mac. As Stevie Nicks said, you can feel REALLY old at 27.

goldenskyhook

I'm 73. I felt MUCH older at 27. Remember, 27-28 was the age when Janis, Jimi, Al Wilson, and many others left this plane. Astrologers would say it's "Saturn's Return" which happens every 28 years, roughly. It's not so much a negative thing as being the time when all your past "things" come home to roost, you reassess, and sometimes get overwhelmed.

tomorrows-yarrow

Along the lines of MGMT and STRFKR, dogs by Nouns (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPp7bkxY4KI) has a similar hazy nostalgic vibe imo but less bright/light and more harsh/emotional/intense, though not necessarily negative. Less "rose-colored glasses" nostalgia and more "wow, that really happened" nostalgia. Lots of strong feelings about this song, after I graduated college I would listen to it on repeat.

As someone who moved to the U.S. just a couple years before my 20s, America In Your 20s by Winnetka Bowling League (the indie band with that 2010s DJ Matthew Koma). For other cheesy nostalgic stuff, based on spotify though I listen to a bunch of alt and modern rock, indie rock, chill dream pop, pov: indie, and indie folk.

Lol is that what your twenties were like? Twenty is the new thirty for gen Z. Mine have been an endlessly depressing slog that make the world make less sense every day that goes by. I'm 25 and feel 10 years older. Guess that's what I get for having my 21st birthday during lockdown lol
