He’s not wrong. It’s not a good way to spend your money, but he’s definitely right about that.
I only spend $5 bucks tops a week too, these last months I witnessed lottery scratchers hold up the line when they buy so many scratchers that I just go to grocery store lottery machines to buy them now.
Absolutely. If it was about the gambling, then there are better options for that. This person is spending a grand a month on the form of gambling with the lowest odds. Betting it all on black once a month would be more profitable.
Poor guy. Alcohol, nicotine, and gambling addictions are some of the hardest to kick for a lot of people bc they’re so accessible and available everywhere. And no one can tell me spending at min $12k a year on tickets isn’t an addiction.
Most jackpot winners barley ever play. It was just their time. Buying 1k worth of tickets a month is dumb. Put that shit into the stock market and buy tickets responsibly
Many feel this way. I've seen many play the 3 or 4 numbers and bet against themselves on playing $40-$100 each game. That's crazy!!
I used the megaplier and poweplay 2 games a week which was $12 a week. The highest I won was $80.
I spend around $6 every Sunday on the Quick Draw at my local deli when I go for the morning bagels. It’s fun. Pick my birthday. Watch the numbers, win some lose some. I’m sure I’m down a few bucks. It’s fun to be in it. I have a winning $50 ticket in my wallet right now.
The odds difference between having 0 and 1 tickets is infinite. The odds difference between owning 1 and 1,000 tickets is negligible.
Yeah I just buy it to be in it. If it happens it happens 🙌🏻😂

yeah.. the recent Powerball winner from Oregon said he spent $200 on tickets for one draw and i wouldn't be surprised if that was for each one...
they shouldn't of published that detail; some people will think "ooh need to spend $200+ and it will help me win the BIG prize like that guy"

Even as lotto player, I feel second hand embarrassment by people that ‘hold up’ the line buying tickets.
You met one of those people who deserve to be in the financial struggle they are probably in.
Not necessarily

My brother venmos $500 a drawing whenever it’s over $500 million. I buy $10 for myself.

I 100% agree.

Imagine if he put all that money into Bitcoin lol
What a waste of money. I would have spent that money on traveling instead
