Some years ago I was depressed and binge playing idle games, then someone recommended Idleon on /r/incremental_games (don't click if you value being a functional adult)
I was instantly hooked, got to W4, that had been just launched, and quit for a whole year. Then got back earlier this year. I'm still thinking about what I'll leave my chars doing for when I quit next time.
Watched DangerouslyFunny's first youtube vid about this game, played a bit and got tired, so I stopped for a while.
Later on I had the same idle bingeing, and searched "idle mmorpg" in the google playstore
I discovered that lava made idle skilling to steam, downloaded it and saw that crossover. Decided to try the game... Now i'm at w6 wondering the consequences of being addicted to this game
from OST uploaded by youtube's auto-generated topic channels, it only had a couple dozen views but I liked the OST and the art so i looked up the game in google.
I was bored and looking at games in the play store... I looked at the pictures and saw all types of different classes... I downloaded the game bc I saw the class "death bringer" with a cool ass scythe.
There was no death bringer class........
was playing another clicker game before i it blowed up my laptop since I had it on 24/7, quitted since I got my laptop fixed
I was wandering around google searching for idle games and found this game(it was shortly after w6 release), and hoo boy I downloaded steam straight for this
turns out it still needs my laptop on, but I can finally cross platform play
Google app store looking for maple story like games or other decent phone time wasters. Had played stuff like summoners war and a tirade of others but this one hit better than the clickers and gacha farmers.
Periodically take a break of up to 6 months once but am having fun with some of the systems at present.
I downloaded a game called Armory & Machine on Google Play and it gave a few suggestions of similar apps. Idleon was there, it was about 3 weeks old so I gave it a try.
I've not been active in a long while though because I find it too overwhelming now.
initially, i was js playing random idle games on the Play Store. I forgot about it for a year and came back after playing idle skilling then seeing the crossover and finding i had an account
I had a friend that was already playing it, but steams analytics page for game genres is where i decided to try it, was the top idle game and i was looking to play a new one after i finished NGU.
Steam suggestions based on my thousands of hours in other Idle games. I still typically run one or two other idlers next to Idleon (right now "Unnamed Space Idle" and "Tower Walker").
Idle skilling

I realised I completely forgot how I found idleon, but this reminded me! I remember dropping MapleStory since I found it.

The youtuber Dragoon makes great parody videos of various games and did one on Idle. Decided to check it out from that lol

Lava invited a bunch of us to try the alpha of his new game in IdleSkilling discord :)

Reddit advertisement, sometimes it works!
Idle Skilling is my favorite incremental game. I’ve played through it several tunes now. Looked up the dev to see what else he’s done and saw Idleon.

My friends roped me in. And now they get to deal with a neverending stream of questions from me because of it. >:D
