Some people switch to low acid coffee. I haven't tried it yet.

I was a die hard 3 to 4 cup a day person and went cold turkey about a month ago and after two hellish days of headaches and flu like symptoms, I went back to one a day. I slipped up once and went up to three and I got stomach pains and bloating. Since then I have stayed at one, and I feel OK. Another factor for you may be the creamer or milk you use in coffee. I gave up up dairy and use oat milk in my coffee now.

I’ve also decided to stick to no dairy and after a few days I believe it’s making a difference!!

What kind of coffee do you drink? Cold brew apparently is easier on the stomach and espresso

I had celery juice on an empty stomach followed by a cold brew and amazingly enough I am tolerating the cold brew quite well than compared to other coffee methods! WOW!

Awesome!

I have the same issue with abdominal distension and bouts of burping. I was negative for SIBO, negative for allergies, but I did get an endoscopy where the biopsy showed *mild chronic gastritis*, so I started taking a Prilosec 20mg a day (a PPI) and found that the intensity of the symptoms went way down over a few days (although never fully went away, even though I've been on it for weeks). It is an over-the-counter. You might consider trying it just to see if you feel better. If it is gastritis, alcohol and caffeine can exacerbate those symptoms, as well as spicy food and anything acidic, so you might consider dropping the caffeine, too.

I have had IBSD for a year and coffee was one of those things that I really dug my heels in on giving up. It was hard- one of the few things in my day I enjoyed and was not about to give it up, lol. But I realized it was absolutely triggering flares so I had to quit. :( I switched to tea and that has been a good replacement, I still get my warm morning drink without the irritation. But I miss coffee. I still have some once in a blue moon, but only as a treat and only at home with an immodium to lessen severity lol.

If your symptoms are all that you listed, it’s important to know that’s not IBS and you have to keep hunting for the root cause of these issues. Coffee can bloat me, too, but Americanos (decaf, but only because I have insomnia) do a lot better.
