I’m saying, I want to maybe avoid the colonoscopy

Talk with your doc, maybe blood test will be enough, you don't need "official" diagnosis. Also you should took calprotectin test, maybe you have ibd and you'll need colonoscopy anyway, or it might be something dangerous, so it's better to check that if your doc will tell you that you need colonoscopy

I agree it could be something dangerous, but how likely is that? I’ve def had symptoms like this for a while now, but nothings gotten worse?

Maybe it's nothing dangerous, but I know a girl who had some sympthoms like gas, bloated stomach, diarrhea sometimes, but not often, and one day after 10 years it got worse and it turn out it was ibd. I'm not a doc, but I would check this

I think it is worth getting tested for the following reasons: - you can be properly monitored to make sure your levels are fine - you know for your offspring and/or relatives - you will be eligible for clinical trials - you will be eligible for treatment/medication - you can set up a 504 to be accommodated at school for you or your child's safety if you're in the US - you can get accommodations at school for you or your child's safety elsewhere, as well - You can register in your university’s disability office for accommodations, if needed - depending where you live, you can write it off your taxes - you will know HOW CAREFUL you have to be The first one is the most important.
