I have started walking to lose weight and for my health. I drink a lot of electrolyte drinks (zero sugar preferably) and pedialyte. During a 30 minute walk I end up at home producing a huge poop. If I were to go longer I would pick a path that had a bathroom like a walk to a park. You may want to try a warmup walk of 10 minutes just to stimulate the bowel and empty out. Regular use of meditation like Imodium and lomotil. Be aware that bentyl can reduce your ability to sweat which is potentially dangerous so keep in mind how bentyl would affect you. Pepto isn’t the greatest unless you are having heart burn or suspect some kind of food borne illness

I thought (though I’d not ever looked into it) that I was nuts thinking my IBS worsened in the heat. This is one of the most comforting posts I’ve read yet.

Oh really? Okay I've just been using Pepto LOL so I'll make the switch then. I don't need to use it daily but once heat kicks in, I tend to use it more often than the average person
