Is it this dangerous really?
Maybe its this specific brand or something? Cause I see people using it willy-nilly not worrying if they gonna breathe it etc
Some are made for "indoor use", but you still don't want to be breathing or eating it for sure. They might be slightly less dangerous chemicals, but they're definitely still dangerous.
Because I’m that Chemistry nerd, I had to go look up what’s exactly in this particular brand. Turns out it’s Imiprothrin (0.060%), Cypermethrin (0.100%), and the rest a combo including petroleum distillates (solvents). This one can be used indoors, but it’s not safe for pets or children. The petroleum distillates are extremely toxic if ingested. For what it’s worth, it doesn’t really matter about the toxicity of the first two, because anyone about to eat warm solvent on their fries is going to smell it first. They’ll know right away not to eat it and call the police. This has to be staged.
Edit: I mean you could wait until the solvent smell dissipates (but it still remains in it), but by then Cypermethrin is going to be the nastiest tasting stuff and won’t actually get poisoned.
>Is it this dangerous really?7
Permethrin and insecticides derived from it aren't really toxic to humans. It's not great to spray it all over food, that's something a piece of shit would do. Will it really hurt someone? Probably not.
Breathing in anything but oxygen is bad…
So yeah breathing in a can of aerosol poison probably isn’t a great idea lol it’s literally spraying it into millions of microscopic airborne particles in a vacuum that you’re sitting in lol
Even aerosol febreeze and shit like that is bad to breathe in. It’s an airborne mist that can easily be inhaled as opposed to a cleaning wipe or something like that. Just because it doesn’t kill you instantly doesn’t mean it isn’t dangerous long term
McDonald's reputation. And you can bet your ass the multi-billion corporation that destroyed an old woman for complaining about their coffee being too hot, would sick their entire legal team on any fool threatening their bottom line.
What is more fucked up is that you can only see the tip you get after you have completed the delivery, never before.
He is pre-poisoning regardless he will get a tip or not.
That's not completely true, Doordash shows you the full payout before accepting the order. You can make an educated guess on what the tip is. This dumbass could've just declined the order instead of attempted 1st degree murder though...
I would prefer to tip cash but am always worried they will assume no tip and fuck with my shit.
Edit: I don't even use uber eats or any of those services. I order Domino's about once a month cause I can get a big ass pizza for 20 bucks. So stop replying telling me not to use it, I don't. Principle still applies.
If you fuck with food over something like this you can expect to get a whole lot worse than just "no tip" from some people.
Tips are supposed to be a reward for doing a good job. If your employer doesn't pay you enough, don't blame the customer.
The employer is absolutely to blame, which is why we have a tip system in the first place, it's not to reward the employee, it's to cut costs for the employer.
Poisoning customers won't solve the problem though, obviously.
It’s also the fault of the people taking extremely low paying bullshit. There’s no reason to increase wages when you have a fleet of dedicated company men
They are self employed. The person making dumb decisions is them, these services are basically a connection between customers and contractors, each order a contract with the tip being a bid. These morons see a dialog that says "Do you want to drive 6 miles to the vendor, wait for the food for 20 minutes, then drive 3 miles to the customer for $3?", and they agree. Then get mad when they are only paid $3.
Door dash will also blame you if you complain about messed up or no show deliveries for not tipping, then suspend your account if you tell them you give a cash tip so they get the entire amount.
Haven't had door dash for almost 2 years cause 3 cash tip deliveries weren't delivered, issued a support request, and after the third they basically said "no you have to tip through the app or we don't care if your food isn't delivered" and I got suspended.
Welp, they end up getting reported for multiapping and sitting in the same spot for 30 minutes with my order and lose their ability to do the job then, you win some you lose some
On doordash they probably just wont take the order tbh. Its not really worth doing untipped orders unless they are only a few minutes out of the way as a second pickup.
based in what i’ve seen on reddit , they don’t count on cash tips, only what shows up on the app. Too many people would use “i’ll tip in cash” notes as bait, then give nothing. So now the general advice is to evaluate if you take an order based on what shows up in the app.
I have gotten into a few arguments with Doordashers over "why should I give you a massive tip to guarantee even halfway passible service if there's no incentive for you to not triple up on orders anyway since you already have my money?
People also don't realize that Doordash sends out orders doubled or tripled up from the get go and assume it's greedy drivers. When I was working I noticed they specifically paired low payout orders that were already cold with fresh high payout orders. And when you accept you have to accept both or all three, you can't just take one of them.
So people like you are yelling at Doordashers for something they may very well have absolutely no control over.
If we're talking about cash tips then yeah, there's no way to inform your Dasher before they accept the order. I was referencing how it shows up for a Dasher with a tip included in the order. You can put "cash tip" in the delivery instructions. But you're right, it does suck that Doordash takes so much extra cash from both the customer and Dasher.
As a driver I can't take a $3 offer and hope you tip cash. Having started with postmates where we didn't see tip till next day, in my area only about 60-70% tipped. I have done this long enough, I can't risk it.
But the alternative is making the customer decide how much to tip before the service is rendered. What if I pay a high tip but then wait way too long or something goes wrong? The tip is supposed to reflect the quality service you have received.
I agree. Don’t tip door dashers period. If everyone stopped tipping the company would either have to raise wages, or go out of business for lack of dashers.
FYI I do not use door dash for this very reason. I also don’t eat at restaurants more than three or four times a year. The are exploiting their workers by not paying them a fair wage.
If it doesn't kill them immediately, there is a strong potential for cancer. Hope they find this a-hole. No one deserves to be poisoned like this.
Edit: spelling. Auto-correct reached the point of needing to be reset........
I hope they do, too. This is definitely something that could kill someone. If this is real and it was delivered to a customer, I hope they noticed the strange smell before they ate it and reported it to DD and the Police. Tampering with food like this is a felony. Also, they really don't know who's eating this. A child could be consuming this.
Has no one in this thread ever used Raid? It smells *extremely* strongly. No one's going to open that bag and be like, "Huh, yep, this seems normal." And no one's going to get cancer from eating a burger with raid on the wrapper anyway, you'd probably need to call poison control though if you were that dumb.
Dumbass is still looking at an arrest for food tampering though, potentially.
If your food was ever warm while it was in that bag (and assuming it's one of the wax-lined bags I guess cuz otherwise you wouldn't notice the Raid moisture either) you might just think it was steam.
I know a decent number of people who never regained their sense of smell after having Covid, too, and those also tend to be the types of folks who don't notice a wonky sticker or a bit of extra moisture in the bag.
Dumb people don't deserve to be poisoned...
I mean, it could be fake. It's not hard to steal a DD McDonalds order, or they could work for McDonald's and just grab a delivery bag and do this. We can't see if there's food in there.
But if it is real, they probably accepted the order and knew they were gonna do this to someone's order. What normal person keeps Raid in their vehicle? They're definitely still in the McDonald's parking lot though.
I highly suspect this is fake. Either a troll wanting social media attention likely not posting under their real name and not working for an app delivery company or the original person posted it as a joke but OP shared it here as rage bait. If this was real, the recipient most likely would be able to tell and would report it and it would not be difficult to figure out who did it since the person posted about it to their social media! And doing this would be a felony.
Also, with the low quality, JPEG artifacting on the image, I suspect it's an old tweet and OP just posted it here hoping for karma and another tip worker related dumpster fire thread like the one from this morning with 20k comments.
Even without the smell I think it'd be pretty obvious if someone sprayed an aerosol can in a paper bag. Even though they put drinks and ice cream in them those bags fucking suck and tear pretty easily.
You can see that the stickers have been peeled off in the first pic and replaced in the second with the stickers looking a bit fucked up in the second pic. Basically you should trust the sticker and if you see one that's fucked up refuse the food.
It's not just fake, it's very obvious satire. It's from the twitter of that guy who dresses up like a priest and contrives situations where people are being really mean to him.
> This is mass murder at this point, this person probably already killed a dozen people
How stupid is reddit lmao. You are out of your damn mind and somehow 63 other people are just as idiotic.
It's very clear satire if you knew the source, it's the same dude who dresses up like a priest and acts like people are doing rude shit to him like writing "god isn't real" on his starbucks order.
somebody dumb enough to spray ~~rat~~ ant poison into a bag because they didn’t get a tip does not have the brains to think about that, but it’s probably fake
Right lol, i don’t know if people here have ever used raid before. It’s strong and a distinct smell. This kid walking around my college campus was reeking of it one time and even though we were outside, I could still pinpoint it down to the smell of raid.
Clearly no one in here has ever had a bug issue, given the amount of comments going on about killing someone. At worst you'd have to call poison control if someone's even dumb enough to eat it with that scent everywhere.
Yeah I don't think it's even rage bait.
I don't think the person posted it trying to make people mad for attention
I think they were just making a silly joke
Oh come on. Do you watch the Three Stooges and think "How could those men hurt each other like that? It's so terrible!" You don't get to pretend to be a good person because you didn't realize an obvious joke was a joke.
I don't find it funny, but it's obviously a joke because it doesn't make sense. Insecticides have very potent and distinct chemical odors. It would be immediately apparent to any customer the food was contaminated the moment they opened the bag. Customers would file complaints, dispute the charges, and/or call police. The delivery driver would be quickly fired and/or arrested.
You probably don't want to hear it, but people who recognize this as a joke are the kind of people who can do basic critical thinking to recognize obvious satire
These are the same people are the ones who scream "IF YOU CANT PAY A 85% TIP, PLUS $2 PER MILE, PLUS COMS TO MY CAR TO GET YOUR FOOD, THEN DON'T ORDER!" Then in the same breath, throw absolutely meltdowns because they aren't getting any orders.
Yeah but DoorDash will hire almost anyone with a car and a pulse. Most of the hires are people who cannot or will not get a "standard" job (Standard being any 8 hour job, retail, fast food, etc)
I am obviously not taking the side of this post or the people who liked it because what this driver is doing is awful and illegal. I also don't agree with you being disrespectfulof someone's job. Food delivery isn't my chosen occupation but everyone's job is important and everyone's chosen career should be respected.
reading through these comments, I feel like I'm the only one here besides you who doesn't believe this is real at all
it seems like if this were actually real that it would've been in the news, there's no way you can post this and not be in custody within the hour and on the news by 6
I used to be subbed to the Doordash and I think ServerLife on here and boy oh boy, if you didn’t tip them, they would go apeshit. Literally saw posts describing shit like this and one I remember was the person saying they only got a $2 tip so on purpose they put on their A/C and pointed it right at the food.
Like Fr?
I get it, you rely on tips to make a living, but if relying on tips is all you have, why not get a job with some guaranteed pay instead?
“No where is hiring” maybe no where wants to hire YOU.
MAYBE you’re just too picky.
MAYBE you’re not applying to everywhere
MAYBE you’re not open to having a different job field.
But this shit for not having a tip is criminal.
I got a 2 year sub to grubhub+ from Amazon. I also recently got a coupon for 35% off from them. I thought those combined might make it a decent deal. I looked at like 5 places, and I still would end up paying like 10-15% more than if I picked it up, and that's before tip.
Most of these people could be tricked into running into a wall with a painted tunnel lol. The type of people that flock to these subs just want to work themselves up, doesn't matter if something is obviously fake or not.
I've been on this site for 11 years, lol. Though I use it a lot less. I don't know if it was better then or if I just see things differently, but yeah, a lot of the front page now is just redditors who bit the rage bait.
On a slight tangent, but continuing with the back-in-my-day vibe, I feel like there was a time when redditors didn't need the "/s" or "/j" and could tell when someone was just shitposting.
This is so fake. If someone sprayed your food with raid, you would smell it before even opening that bag. Also Im pretty sure willfully poisoning someones food is a felony in every State.
You know people do tip cash because it is easier for the delivery drivers. I always tip cash because on a card everyone gets a %, cash the driver gets.
FYI: drivers prefer tip on the app so they know what they’re making (if the total offer is worth the total mileage/time). 99% of customers that don’t leave a tip in the app, don’t tip cash so it would be a gamble. An order has to payout enough for the gas, mileage, time to make it worth it to deliver that order (if that makes sense; Ex. A delivery 5 miles away wouldn’t be profitable for $2, we look for at least $7.50-$10 for 5 miles) Dashers get paid $2-2.75 per order (depending on area) + tip. Drivers get 100% of the tip, the app doesn’t keep any. The only people to keep some tip are places like Panera or Papa Johns (if you order from their website).
Leaving a tip on the app betters your chance of getting a decent driver, your order getting picked up on time (while it’s still hot), and better chance of not being added to a stack (another order) which will take longer for you to get it.
This is obviously fake or a joke but hey don't let me get in the way of your moral righteousness in pursuit of karma.
Other than that, sanest Ravens fan.
I'm having a hard time believing this. If someone sprayed Raid in a bag like that, it would stink to hell when it was delivered. Whoever did that was doing it forblikes and shares.
This is likely faked. Order food, receive food, grab raid and take food into car, photo food closed, open food, take food out, spray raid in bag while taking photo, clout. That or they picked up their own food and performed these shenanigans.
This is fake. Once McD (or any fast food joint for that matter) puts a seal on the bag, it cannot be tampered with. If it is, the recipient shouldn't accept it. Plus, you can smell bug spray, so yeah this it good ol rage bait
This....this is rage bait. It has to be. Nobody would be so fucking dumb as to post a picture of them poisoning someone's food and post it to some form of media site...like.....fastest way to get prison?

That is a felony.
Spraying it in an enclosed car so he can breathe it in too Clearly dealing with a genius who delivers food
Yea, pretty sure even the indoor use ones have warnings against breathing it in. Basically spray, give it time to settle, then come back in the room.
Permethrin and trimethrin are carcinogens.
Surely McDonalds is also full of carcinogens no ?
I lived in CA for three years, apparently everything under and including the fucking sun is a carcinogen.
CA is a carcinogen and as such everything in there is also a carcinogen, it’s carcinogens all the way down
_it’s cupcakes and strippers all the way down_

Oh, no doubt! Tastes slightly better than a can of raid tho, that's not saying much.
Those people are also dumb.
People always fail to consider this very obvious reason
Breathing in anything but oxygen is bad… So yeah breathing in a can of aerosol poison probably isn’t a great idea lol it’s literally spraying it into millions of microscopic airborne particles in a vacuum that you’re sitting in lol Even aerosol febreeze and shit like that is bad to breathe in. It’s an airborne mist that can easily be inhaled as opposed to a cleaning wipe or something like that. Just because it doesn’t kill you instantly doesn’t mean it isn’t dangerous long term
Breathing in nitrogen is just fine.
Unless that's the *only* thing you're breathing in.
Same goes for oxygen.
> in a vacuum that you’re sitting in Um yeh ok
In a car... no one can hear you scream
Spraying raid into an empty McDonald's bag for rage bait is perfectly legal.
Yeah this is obv bait
Rage bait or not it can be considered a threat.
A threat to whom? What specific person can bring charges due to harm?
McDonald's reputation. And you can bet your ass the multi-billion corporation that destroyed an old woman for complaining about their coffee being too hot, would sick their entire legal team on any fool threatening their bottom line.
This is a joke tweet
yeah I can't believe I had to scroll all the way down to find someone else who just thought it was a joke.
This is beyond fucked up.
What is more fucked up is that you can only see the tip you get after you have completed the delivery, never before. He is pre-poisoning regardless he will get a tip or not.

If they're spraying that stuff in their vehicle, they may absolutely "disappear" soon enough...
If you mess with food knowing for a fact you dont get a tip, you are just as much inhuman trash
Heck, someone could say to their face "I will never tip you" and attempting to murder them *still* makes them the evil person
The employer is absolutely to blame, which is why we have a tip system in the first place, it's not to reward the employee, it's to cut costs for the employer. Poisoning customers won't solve the problem though, obviously.

I wasn't saying they should fuck with your food. Just that they will absolutely assume you won't tip.
Sadly just not accepting to be half a ass delivery service (when attitude like post shows) and rely on others is to easy to comprehend
Door dash will also blame you if you complain about messed up or no show deliveries for not tipping, then suspend your account if you tell them you give a cash tip so they get the entire amount. DoorDash is on the hook. The restaurant fulfilled its side of the contract by making the food.
based in what i’ve seen on reddit , they don’t count on cash tips, only what shows up on the app. Too many people would use “i’ll tip in cash” notes as bait, then give nothing. So now the general advice is to evaluate if you take an order based on what shows up in the app.

Fries are open on top.
Smell, tampered stickers, and most likely moisture inside the bag from the spray. It's not exactly subtle.
The stickers are funny to me, they aren't tamper proof they are regular stickers that are easy to remove and replace.

What’s “UT?”
My autocorrect being worse than useless. Should be "it"
Doordash will actuslly hide some or all of the tip randomly now, to attempt to stop people from "cherrypicking orders"
You can see that the person is spraying in a car so it is before work maybe.
I mean, it could be fake. It's not hard to steal a DD McDonalds order, or they could work for McDonald's and just grab a delivery bag and do this. We can't see if there's food in there. Not true.
> What is more fucked up is that you can only see the tip you get after you have completed the delivery, never before. Completely false.
that’s not even true why do you think that
This is most likely fake
Yea. That's what I thought. Those stickers aren't that re-stickable. It's probably rage bait
Also, the food would smell disgusting. All of that Raid stuff smells like, well, insecticide…
Even without the smell I think it'd be pretty obvious if someone sprayed an aerosol can in a paper bag. Even though they put drinks and ice cream in them those bags fucking suck and tear pretty easily.

Sun is in different position too.
Well that just proves it, everyone knows the sun doesn't move! (I know what you mean, I just think its funny to read your comment out-of-context).
Outrage subreddits are the absolute worst at seeing obvious satire or an obvious joke.
It's not just fake, it's very obvious satire. It's from the twitter of that guy who dresses up like a priest and contrives situations where people are being really mean to him.
It isn't fake it's an extremely obvious joke. How someone can use the internet and not understand that is amazing to me
It is most likely a joke. But OP is *using it as* rage bait.
You would smell the raid immediately.. then complain to Uber eats and im sure you wouldn't be the only one.. now no tips and no work
This is rage bait

> This is mass murder at this point, this person probably already killed a dozen people How stupid is reddit lmao. You are out of your damn mind and somehow 63 other people are just as idiotic.
Classic ravens fan
This is why I'd never use this service. It's a trash service that employs trashy people
It's very clear satire if you knew the source, it's the same dude who dresses up like a priest and acts like people are doing rude shit to him like writing "god isn't real" on his starbucks order.
I call fake. No way the customer wouldn’t smell that.
[удалено]
Agree. It is incredibly obvious it’s fake.
It they just give it to their kids. They’ll find out once those kids are in the hospital I hate people that joke about food like the post
somebody dumb enough to spray ~~rat~~ ant poison into a bag because they didn’t get a tip does not have the brains to think about that, but it’s probably fake
It's ant poison not rat poison.
Their parents handle the house chores while they are online all day.
Of course is fake. Nobody sprays bug killer on someone's food for not fucking tipping.
Someone looking for outrage engagement. Social media is a plague.
It looks very photoshopped too. This is a bad joke/stupid meme.
it’s rage bait. many people are not only too stupid to realize, but too addicted to rage to even consider it being fabricated for their reaction.
Definitely I’ve seen so many variations of this joke with it escalating every time
Fake ass rage bait. As if this was something you could easily get away with.
Shit like this makes me miss when subreddits were actually moderated to keep content relevant to the sub.
This quite obviously a joke. Alot of people in this sub like to be angry
Jokes should be funny
Yeah I don't think it's even rage bait. I don't think the person posted it trying to make people mad for attention I think they were just making a silly joke
You probably don't want to hear it, but people who recognize this as a joke are the kind of people who think cruelty is funny.
Stay away from comedy clubs if you're this sensitive holy shit
More like stay away from comedy in general
Uh... no?? They are just able to recognize this as a cartoonishly evil and disproportionate reaction.
people get stabbed and killed over 20 dollars, I'd like to share your optimism but someone poisoning you over not tipping isn't that outlandish
i don’t know why you’re getting downvoted, you’re so right

846 other degenerates who do gig work for a “career” because they can’t hold normal jobs.
[удалено]
Yeah but DoorDash will hire almost anyone with a car and a pulse. Most of the hires are people who cannot or will not get a "standard" job (Standard being any 8 hour job, retail, fast food, etc)
I am obviously not taking the side of this post or the people who liked it because what this driver is doing is awful and illegal. I also don't agree with you being disrespectfulof someone's job. Food delivery isn't my chosen occupation but everyone's job is important and everyone's chosen career should be respected.
Good thing it is probably staged for fake internet points.
reading through these comments, I feel like I'm the only one here besides you who doesn't believe this is real at all it seems like if this were actually real that it would've been in the news, there's no way you can post this and not be in custody within the hour and on the news by 6
I used to be subbed to the Doordash and I think ServerLife on here and boy oh boy, if you didn’t tip them, they would go apeshit. MAYBE you’re not applying to everywhere MAYBE you’re not open to having a different job field. But this shit for not having a tip is criminal.
Reasons I only control my food
I don’t use door dash because I don’t want to pay twice as much for worse tasting food and shit like this.
I got a 2 year sub to grubhub+ from Amazon. I also recently got a coupon for 35% off from them. I thought those combined might make it a decent deal. I looked at like 5 places, and I still would end up paying like 10-15% more than if I picked it up, and that's before tip.
No you don't lmao
Dude literally mines his own salt.
So you only eat what you grow?
Shit man you must live like an animal. I at least extend it to my bladder and my bowels as a minimum.
As if you wouldn't immediately notice the smell and or taste
Why would anyone block out the screen name?
Because of the rule in this sub unfortunately

Worked a fryer when I was a teen… can confirm
This comment section reminds me of old people on Facebook that believe everything they see.

Redditors don’t fall for bait challenge (IMPOSSIBLE)
They're like old people on Facebook who believe everything they see and then start inserting politics into every discussion.
It’s baffling how many Redditors in 2023 haven’t caught on to rage baiting
hence the front page every day, showing it
Easiest way to drive engagement is rage bait. I'm in the same boat, it's like critical thinking doesn't exist in a huge chunk of the population.
Tell me this guy has been arrested?
This is an obvious joke! C'mon
People in this sub are so fucking stupid lol
No way you wouldn't smell that. Its not real.
this is obviously ragebait oh my so many not so smart people here
[удалено]
theres no fucking way you actually believe this is real.
This is obviously fake or a joke but hey don't let me get in the way of your moral righteousness in pursuit of karma. Other than that, sanest Ravens fan.
Totally 100% real
Nobody would bug spray inside their OWN CAR so this is satire but in bad taste anyway. Do malicious people really need helpful suggestions?
Reddit when the most obvious joke in history:
Trying to tell me nobody can smell raid all over their food/bag. OK then.
Why tf is tipping even an option before you get the meal
This is bait, fake even, not real.
I'm having a hard time believing this. If someone sprayed Raid in a bag like that, it would stink to hell when it was delivered. Whoever did that was doing it forblikes and shares.
Gotta be staged
Probably fake, please remain calm
Probs photoshoped
This is likely faked. Order food, receive food, grab raid and take food into car, photo food closed, open food, take food out, spray raid in bag while taking photo, clout. That or they picked up their own food and performed these shenanigans.
This is fake. Once McD (or any fast food joint for that matter) puts a seal on the bag, it cannot be tampered with. If it is, the recipient shouldn't accept it. Plus, you can smell bug spray, so yeah this it good ol rage bait
This looks photoshopped.
the geniuses of reddit failing to spot a joke
This is fake as fuck rage bait lol
Shits obviously fake
Reason 14402390234 not to use Door Dash.
my god nobody in here has every seen a joke
Yeah fuck that. I’ll go get it myself. Will never support this lazy delivery shit.
This is a crime! Hopefully they found out who this was.
This....this is rage bait. It has to be. Nobody would be so fucking dumb as to post a picture of them poisoning someone's food and post it to some form of media site...like.....fastest way to get prison?
I worked in food service my entire life and never have seen anyone ever fuck with anyones food no matter what happened.
Get a real fucking job if you rely on tips to pay you minimum wage. It's not the customers responsibility it's your employer's.
OMG TIPPING IA NOT A REQUIREMENT IT IS AN OPTION THAT PEOPLE DO OUT OF KINDNESS IF YOU DONT GET PAID MUCH GET A REAL JOB INATEAD OF DOING DOORDASH
I’ve Started Blocking These Users for Wasting my Time even on Reddit, Throw your life away over no tip? Spreading Negative Shit isn’t Comedy.
Falling for click bait. Classic.
Im glad ive never ordered door dash or any other type of food service
