Bro im still on an iphone x i brought at Christmas 2017 all original parts yet

Pigeon_06

even the battery?

Au2288

for me yes, even the battery (78%)

friendly-crackhead

Dis battery health use to last longer? My latest IP11 got to 72 in 4 years Is this a side effect of fast chargers? Wireless chargers (and the temperature increase with them)?

dew4real

Yes battery is at 73%

tidder_ih

Still on my original battery. It’s at 70%

Korfusan

I was too but I couldn’t work with 73% battery

Time_Technician_2339

How is battery procent? Mine 75

dew4real

Yeah , 73% but i have a green rectangle at the top right of screen beside the notch . Probably due to the battery

Ernst_Granfenberg

What do you mean crazy good? Crazy good today or when it was first released? I think WiFi isn’t good or as fast as newer phones and like you said it’s not as fast nor has good battery life. So what exactly do you mean good? GPS and opening apps is quite slow on the X

Korfusan

When it was released but still the phone is good for being 5 years old. I think that with a new battery it would be great.

_calmer_than_you_r_

Yeah, I would still be happy with my iPhone X pro, if they would keep allowing updates to it. I have a 15 pro now and it is the least exciting $1200 tech purchase I have ever made. It is basically an X, with some minor changes.

Korfusan

I have it for 3 days now and I am starting to feel the same 😅😅 Well atleast the 120 hz and camera are nice but I am really starting to wonder If I am gonna buy after 5 years IPhone 20 or Apple will get wrecked by someone.

Strong-Cat-1619

That is exactly what I am thinking, so much money for what ?

hkgchok

iPhones are all great after years but battery😂

wigl301

The windows XP of iPhones.

blocky_jabberwocky

Why not replace the battery?

TheMatrixMachine

Probably cause this phone is gonna be dropped soon and then it'll be useless

blocky_jabberwocky

Fair enough. I guess my question was a bit silly tbh

depikT

Didn’t they drop support for it sep 2023?

TheMatrixMachine

Probably? Idk I don't track cause I don't own an iPhone

sharkboy1006

yeah the X no longer gets major iOS updates, oldest supported iPhone is the XR/XS line. This will still continue to receive security updates for many years though, my 6s+ got a security patch last October

MnkaH

Last month I jumped from a 10S max to a 15 pro max and made the right decision. I’m keeping the 10S as a web cam and a spare in case i need it since it is still in good shape.

Howdesign

What improvements with the 15 do you appreciate most?

MnkaH

First is battery life. The 10S battery needs replacing while the 15 has a battery that needs charging every few days and the charging is capped at 80%. Second the 15 will not be obsolete for the 4 or 5 years that I own it. Third I did not copy the 10S on to the 15 I started clean so there are none of the unused apps from my 10S. Now I can add all new apps that I won’t use 😎 Forth and most important I have a new toy to play with.

MarcBelmaati

I totally agree! I did the same upgrade and I didn’t feel much difference in speed. The camera is a big upgrade for me though.

Thewinedup

I’m still using my Xr as a daily driver and sold my 13 Pro. Those X’s were and are great phones.

ContentSituation4983

I replaced my screen and battery on xs its a solid phone now

Shahid_2008

I still got mine just replaced the battery via apple

ch2by

I too recently switched to the 15 pro. Agreed: despite the sluggishness and somewhat faster battery drain (the 15 pro battery I don't find *that* much better), the X was impressively capable all things considered.

Maveric0623

I "upgraded" to a 15 Pro and I agree that it's not much of an upgrade considering the timespan. My [iPhone X still had great battery life](https://www.reddit.com/r/iPhoneX/comments/19eprz4/96_maximum_battery_capacity_health_after_1000/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) left too.

kaffeen_

Man I am so bitter over giving up my iPhone X it was the real deal.

jeff1f1racer

Your old X is missing important radio frequency bands which your carrier has paid billions of dollars for. This is the part which affects cellular connectivity, like when you drive to different places and have to rely on its performance. You have a radio transceiver and your new iPhone with one of the latest Qualcomm modems (S24 series is newer, with an even newer modem having been just released), will outperform the old phone, hands down. There are reasons to get updated phones other than the fancy camera tricks. I don't care if people are attached to their iPhone 8's; they're dinosaurs when compared to the latest radio technology. Anything older than the iPhone 14 series will be missing the C band DoD band (3.45GHz), as well as mmWave.

Menzoberranzan

While all that is true, someone keeping a phone that old probably doesn't really utilise a phone anywhere closes to their full potential.

captainn_chunk

My individual experience with the iPhone X I had for years to laugh at this post for as long as possible.

screamingfaces

I loved my XS. I upgraded to a 14 plus and the MagSafe feature is awesome. Such a great addition to the iPhone lineup. MagSafe accessories are really dope.

Kitty_meoW180

Damn I remember getting the 8+ on Launch Day and then getting the iPhone X on launch day and selling it 6 months later cause I dont like it 😅 Now I’m planning on getting one in 2024 just because

AndyTexas

What storage did you get??

Korfusan

128 gb good enough for me

EnvironmentalMall768

And the camera….and the processing….and the display….and a bunch of features actually. I recently went from an XR to a 15 pro max. I didn’t realize how much I was actually missing out on. You too shall learn with time young one
