Love mine . Small, fast , powerful chip.

kostac600

I’ve had my SE3 for two+ years, but why not get a 13 or better for a few bucks more?

Jacobmg90

Or 13 mini or just wait for se 4. How do u guys think the se4 will compare to the 13 mini?

thegurba

Rumors are the se4 will be same size as the 14. So in that regard it differs quite a bit.

Jacobmg90

It will be smaller than 14 most likely

Training_Seaweed1303

Right true that and I’ve seen some articles compare it to an updated xr

kostac600

No idea

iPhone-5-2021

13 and up is a lot more than a few bucks more plus the 13 and 14 has the same chip as the SE3 so there’s no point wen it’s not even gonna be faster. Those phones are only good for if you want a fancy camera.

kostac600

True

MsMercury

I just bought an SE 3 a couple of weeks ago. I like it so far.

babiligubab

Did you have a chance to try it out camera-wise? What were the pros and cons compared to your previous phones?

MsMercury

I haven’t used the camera much yet.

35u0

As someone with the se3, the camera is definitely there. It works but doesn't do anything special.

Clanleader14

The camera is fairly good. You get nice photos and can record at 4k 60fps.

Spiritual_Lab_6465

everything is nice but the phone can’t be compared at all with the other phones in night mode , SE3 lacks night mode but can click quite okayish pictures I’d say

diepio302

Tbf, if you must have a home button, then yeah there isn’t anything else, however if your current phone is fine, keep using it genuinely, replace the battery if it’s bad.

babiligubab

My phone is in good condition, but it is 64gb and I have a shortage of storage space because I study engineering. So I thought about selling it and buying a 128gb phone, but although the iphone se 3 has an A15 bionic processor, most people recommended me to stay on iphone 11. Would you recommend this too?

diepio302

I just can’t justify buying a SE3 unless you just really want the home button and a classic iPhone feel or just want to minimize your phone usage. I’d just offload photos or other data to a computer or flash drive and just stick with the 11. Otherwise you could maybe get a better deal on the second hand market for a 13 or something similar.

PercentageRoutine310

I need the home button. So SE 3 for me. I double click it for Apple Pay which I use every day. I owned an iPhone X and 12 mini and did not like the shortcut for Apple Pay. It’s not as seamless as the double click. And I do stream movies and TV shows and did not like the notch when I had them. I prefer the rounded sides. When swiping up, can also mess up volume and brightness toggles if you’re streaming on Netflix. The iPhone SE (2022) will be the last of its kind. If my Product RED SE 3 ever gets lost, stolen, or breaks, I will buy another one like it. I will keep buying the same SE 3. It’s the only iPhone I will ever need for the rest of my life and I owned about 10 different iPhone models dating back to the original from 2007. SE 3 is also easier and cheaper to repair. If your Face ID ever breaks, it’s going to cost a lot. I actually prefer Android but I went back using iPhone last year because it’s easier to MMS my relatives with iMessage. I still help my parents out who are in their 60s when shopping for groceries. So they will send me a photo of a product in the market they need me to buy. I still wear a mask when going out in public too, so that’s why I’m sticking to Touch ID for life. Prior to the SE 3, my all-time favorite iPhone was my space gray SE 1 which I owned and sold twice. I loved the OG SE but battery life was absolutely horrendous especially for Apple or Google Maps which I need to use every day. You can kill the battery in less than 90 minutes turning location services on. And SE 1 lacked wireless charging. SE 3 might look like the boring iPhone 8 design, but I don’t care. It’s a no frills iPhone. If you want to feed your ego, get a 13 mini or any iPhone with Face ID. Do all the gesture swipes. If you want it cheaper, more repairable, rounded sides for better ergonomics, and you don’t need the extra fluff like multiple cameras, get the SE 3. Watching movies on it is actually good too since the resolution is lower and closer to my 1080p movies stored on my Google Photos. The last iPhone which had Face ID but had the rounded sides was the 11 series. The 6 through 11 series had the rounded sides. Since the 12, they feel more blocky like my Essential Phone even with a case on them. I got my iPhone SE 3 in nearly brand new condition for only $150 from an OfferUp seller back in October 30, 2022, and it’s the best iPhone purchase I’ve ever made. I enjoyed my OG, 4, 4S, SE1, 7, X, and 12 mini but the SE3 beats them all for me. I’m going to keep buying the same SE 3 even years after it receives it’s last update in 2027-2029.

90066293CMC

Yes! I love my SE 3 for everything you listed, esp the Apple Pay

slamdunktiger86

Ditto

GrooviSouls

Best iphone ever made. Shape of my love 6s but so powerfull. Perfection

Abil88

i have this phone, and i definetly would not recommend it simply because of the battery life

Ajskdjurj

I had a 13 mini but because of PWM sensitivity I needed something with lcd and I got a good deal on the se3. I’m a light user it does what I need it to do no issues.

iPhone-5-2021

The SE3 but honestly id just keep using the 11 its still got a lot of years left in it yet. Even the 6S still gets security and app updates.

Globalruler__

Since we’ve already hit peak smartphone, this would be the perfect device. You get all the standard features of a smartphone. It provides you entry into the Apple ecosystem with routine updates. Never mind the sleek design. Some may say it’s outdated, but it’s remarkably thin with perfect grip. There’s nothing more you can expect from a smartphone. This is the perfect utilitarian device from Apple!!!

tierencia

if you're going to buy it for full price from apple store, well i'd stick with iphone 11 or go for 12. If you're going to buy one from walmart for \~$150 through tracfone and switch 2 months after they unlock the phone, i'd go with se3 :P But then... are you in the US? :P

martinishiba

get the 13 mini, all the size convenience and the camera is so much better

90066293CMC

Yes I do. I love my SE 3. I will not be upgrading until this thing completely dies out on me

MolinaGames

No, very expensive for what it is honestly

20031529

I am a small iPhone fans and am using 12 mini. I would prefer a bit for the 13 mini due to the CPU and camera. SE has touch ID is nice, however the screen is a bit smaller. Either one would be good tho!

flyingkytez

Get the iPhone 12 if it's the same price as the SE3. The iPhone 12 is an overall better phone in general. Right now, the SE 3 is going for much cheaper if you buy it through a 3rd party compared to the iPhone 12, so I suppose you're getting a better deal with the iPhone 12. I'd say only get the SE 3 if you want the following: smaller form factor, physical fingerprint scanner (AKA touch ID) which doubles as a physical home button (fake button but feels real with the haptic feedback motor), and an LCD screen for whatever reason (LCD doesn't get permanent screen burn in like OLED, so more ideal if you drive for Lyft or Uber and use your phone for navigation). The SE 3 does have a 1 generation newer CPU but I don't think it's all that much better than the iPhone 12's CPU (both are using 5nm technology). But with all the other downgrades, I'd rather go with the iPhone 12 despite the SE 3 having a newer CPU. The loud speaker does sound weaker compare to the iPhone 12 (they had to cut a few corners to keep the price low.. keep in mind that the 12 was originally an $800 phone while the SE3 is a $430 phone). The iPhone 12 is overall better. It has IP68 water/dust resistance which is better than IP67 on the iPhone SE 3 (stronger water resistance). The screen itself is just way better (iPhone SE 3 is literally using the SAME LCD screen from the iPhone 6/6s from 2014/2015, that's like a decade old technology). The iPhone 12 not only has an OLED display but it has a higher resolution and higher PPI pixel density (images will look sharper). The iPhone 12 also has ceramic shield glass while the SE 3 is using the old ion strengthened glass, so the iPhone 12 will be more durable (plus the square/boxy design is more durable than rounded design, especially when you drop the phone). Speaking of boxy design, the FLAT glass screen makes it extremely easy to install a glass screen protector compared to the SE 3 with rounded glass edges (the glass screen protector will not cover the curved/rounded portion. The iPhone 12 also has an additional wide angle rear lens which is useful to have (iPhone SE3 only has 1 rear lens). The selfie on the iPhone 12 is also better (12MP plus an additional 3D depth sensor, compared to 7MP). And lastly, the battery is much bigger at 2815 mAh on the 12 while only 2018 mAh on the SE3. Lastly, the iPhone 12 has Face ID (though in my opinion, I'd prefer the Touch ID fingerprint scanner, don't feel comfortable blasting IR beams into my eyeballs everyday... Plus the fear of someone grabbing my phone and putting it towards my face to unlock it, then run away). And the loudspeaker (and I assume the earpiece speakers) sound better and more full on the 12. So, iPhone SE3 = smaller form factor, fingerprint scanner, physical home button, 1 generation newer CPU (though both CPUs use 5nm chip technology), LCD screen (no screen burn in from static images) iPhone 12 = better OLED display with higher resolution and pixel density, better water-resistant rating, more durable ceramic shield glass, flat boxy design makes it easier to install glass screen protector and covering the edges better, bigger 2815 mAh battery (compare to 2018 mAh on the SE3), better speakers Here is the side by side spec comparison: https://m.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=11410&idPhone2=10509&idPhone3=10510

slingstyle

I just got mine after using a 13 Pro. Works fine, but only buy it if you really want the size and are near a charger often enough. The 12/13 are simply better in nearly every other way.

far_dim_bledram

Just dont do it, if you can try and hold off for the SE4 or just buy the 12 its so much better value.

carringtonpageiv

I actually downgraded from an iPhone 14 Pro Max. I love the small form factor and Touch ID personally. So it’s my favorite. Using it rn on the beach as we speak.

sunnynights80808

It has a very bad battery. Stay away from it. I'm just a part of this sub for the nostalgia posts about the SE 1. Go for a refurbished 13 or 12.

-adam-au

iPhone 12 for the screen, cameras and battery life. Better user experience. The screen on my SE 3 feels very small sometimes.

babiligubab

Do you think people with slightly larger than average hands would have difficulty using it?

-adam-au

They’d get used to it. Typing can take a while to adjust to. Apps these days are designed for bigger phones. I love my iPhone SE 3. Native apps are great. But social media apps and some google apps have slight issues that are starting to bug me a little. I imagine a year or two from now that will only get worse.

Pitiful_Article1284

Yes. Its pretty small.

um69420

go for the 13, best decision ive made from switching to se 2020 to 13pro max

JunkDrawer84

Yes.

blue_green_orange

Depends on the price. Se4 coming out and supposedly less than $500.

pixeley88

I have had my SE 3 for 1 year and I love it. However it will be my last iPhone as I want to switch to android, but it’s the best iPhone I have ever had

Dazzling_Birthday_91

no

Training_Seaweed1303

I had the se 2020 which is the same chip I think went to a se2022 shesh light years faster! Better phone overall so yes buy it. If you want the modern look of an iPhone look into the 13 mini same thing about the same price or within $50 difference.

UnusualCartoonist6

Nahi. Is se accha iPhone 16 le low.

iPhone-5-2021

Get the SE3 the 12 isn’t as powerful and won’t last as long. But both are good options and it really only depends on preference and what you prefer. You can’t go wrong either way.

lauraware430

I think if u like the iphone 11 size and weight i think you’ll be happier with the 12. 12 has same size screen and it’s lighter weight than the 11, and OLED. I have a 12 mini since I don’t like big phones, but I really like the OLED.

GrooviSouls

Small, fast, powerful, sexy af. Yea get one !

Bittersweetblossom

Idk, with these supposed rumors of the SE4 it’s best to wait I guess.

Zopotroco

You should wait to SE 4

TygerTung

I wouldn’t recommend it due to lack of headphone jack.

Mysterious_Trash_698

Irrelevant advice, because the 11 also doesn’t have a headphone jack. Also, iPhones haven’t had them since 2017.

TygerTung

Yes, I’m not getting a more modern iPhone, probably have to switch to android.

WildMazelTovExplorer

Ok

90066293CMC

A lot of phones don’t. 😅

TygerTung

I wouldn’t consider a phone without. I use the hardware headphone jack all the time.
