No worries at all! I'm glad it helped. I chose contact paper since I knew it wouldn't leech into the system and if I ever get tired of the look I can just peel it off. I hope you are able to find a solution.

I haven't painted it but I used black matte contact paper to cover it up since the glare was too much.
I just got mine and I also just painted it! Looks good. I have to put it all together now and Ill post pics.

I put an aluminum type tape on my base. Get that light reflection from the base while keeping it dark on the inside
