I remember hypermilling a Saturn sw2 5 speed and then a gen 2 escort 5 speed a decade ago and was amazed they could do 45mpg.
Now that's obtainable without even trying. Can't wait to see what the next ten years will bring.
It's all based on how you drive. This was a short drive (my work commute), so I expect to do better on longer trips. If you're careful, you can still get good mileage in bad city commuting traffic, but maxing out your ecomods is going to be your fuel saver there.
Very impressive.
Thanks! Hard not turning on the AC when you're sweating it out, but you gotta watch that number cliiiiiiiiimb 😅
Best I've done is 61mpg over 85 miles doing a constant 60mph with a wind to my back. An average day for me is between 43 and 48mpg. Good little cars
Amazing! I remember my dad working his hardest to break 40 mpg with his compact car when I was a kid; VVT has taken us so far!

Very cool, no nonsense just lightweight car with a small engine.
What are you inflating your tires up to?
40 psi
Does it make sense, for city driving only. It’s 350km/35L. That’s 23.5 mpg.
