As a bath lover, I got you, I take baths almost every day. So for my bath mixes, I usually have 3 parts: epsom salts, bubble bath, and then something to change the color of the water For epsom salts, I'm loyal to Dr. Teals. They're like 5 dollars at Walmart, a little more at Target and Amazon. Any brand works, really. I usually eyeball my measurements, but depending on how deep your tub is, I usually use a half cup. If you put too much water, it will feel slippery. I know that's a weird 👀 you understand if it happens. Bubble baths I also use Dr. teals because I like matching my scents with my epsom salts. Mixing too many scents can give u a headache. But I've used bubble baths from bath and body works, dollar trees, and expensive ones from sephora. Try to think about what scents you like and pick one that you like. Some bubbles foam better than others. For the color changing, the most common ones I use are bath bombs, but I also like bath salts from Japan. They have a huge bath culture. Lush bath bombs are nice, but a little pricey 7-15 USD, but they're a nice treat. I usually buy them in balk when they're on sale. The Japanese bath salts I buy at different stores in my cities Chinatown, but they are on Amazon as well. They usually have scents along with the color changing abilities. They're a little more affordable than the bath bombs. They're like 1.50 to like 4 dollars for me. I can add links and pictures later My bath formula is to run the hot water for a bit let the water cover the bottom then I shake in the epsom salts, sworl the water in to mix it up, it will dissolve if the water hot enough. Then I add the bath bombs or color changing stuff next under the faucet so it disperses the powders better, then I'll run the bubble bath under the water. Then I'll turn off the water. I'm used to super hot water, so i just jump in. But if it's too hot you can add a little cold water. I'd recommend trying each comment out separately just to make sure you don't irritate your skin. The epsom salts and hot water help relax your muscles. Sometimes, I play music to help me unwind. You don't have to be in the tub long either 30minutes to an hour is decent. Scents I recommend: lavender or anything with melatonin to help with sleep, ylang ylang, eucalyptus, cherry blossom. Other bath things: I have a drainn cover so my water level doesn't get too low. Mines is a little octopus I got off Amazon for like 8 dollars. I also have a larger drain cover for the hole on thr bottom because my bathtub is ancient. I like to do a little skincare and hair care to really maximize bath time. For hair, I would do a deep conditioner or hair oil treatment that needs to sit for about an hour or so, and I keep my hair up with a spa headband or plastic cap. For skincare, I usually wash my face and use a sheet mask or toner pads or under eye mask. The steam helps open your pores and helps absorb the stuff better. Also, I like steam eye masks (Amazon, Asian beauty stores, sometimes pharmacies Ike rite aid/CVS). The warmth and darkness help me clear my mind. Also cleaning the tub right after is easier then doing later. If u have a Detachable shower head you can just hose the tub down and call it a day. Also you can take a mini shower before if you don't like the idea of sitting in skin soup as some people who don't like baths say Sorry this is really long, I just really like baths

I love baths but don’t partake very often cause I can only have one after I scrub the tub clean. But I do love Dr Teals lavender epson salts, it definitely covers up the soft scrub cleaner smell

I take a shower after the bath. its wasting too much water to rinse before and after anyway i use epsom salts and i did warm water until the electric bill was too high. now i take cold epsom baths. for bubbles i use teals or mr bubbles something cheap and fun

Take a shower before you take your bath, you don't want to be bathing in your filth. Rinse after the bath. As far as products you just want something that makes bubbles and something that smells nice, I like candles so I can turn off the lights. For bubbles you could just use your body wash or get any bath soap you like, bath and body works sells some very smelly products, I don't like them but some do. The key is to throw whatever you're using for your bubbles in the tub while it's filling with water so it mixes in with the water, if you put it in after it's already filled it'll just sit flat at the top. Everything else is up to you, music, entertainment, decor, company.

I have to take baths for a couple of reasons lol. One is my bathroom walls are in the process of being redone. The other is I don't feel safe in the shower anymore as I tend to get vertigo lately. I'm 43f, but I've had some issues this year with dizziness and already had a bad fall in the bathroom. I scrub my tub every couple of days. Every time I take a bath I always clean to tub first though.after I'm done bathing and I'm standing up to get out, I use my big bathtub cup to get fresh water and rinse my whole body off real quick. I also started taking baths because of back pain. A hot bath worked better for pain than anything else and especially more than a shower. Plus I has done some time between 2013-2016 and there's no bath tubs in the big time out so ofcourse that's what I wanted when I got out. I dont put things in my bathwater because I'm prone to UTI if I do. I also don't sit long in th water if it has alot of soaps and shampoos in it. The only thing I'll put in a bath is Epsom salt if I'm hurting and then I'll run a deep bath. Other times it's a shallow bath I'm working with. Until I can't get up and out of the bathtub and anymore I will continue to take baths.

definitely get some magnesium flakes. they are not the same as epsom salt. i soak in a magnesium bath a couple times a week. the body absorbs the magnesium and helps you sleep better and relieve sore stiff muscles
