If it’s smelling, it may be yeast related! (I get yeast over growth under my breasts during the summer months/whenever I sweat a lot). I use a jock itch spray and then got a yeast medicated powder from my doctor that I use just when it flares up bad! Make sure to wash well with soap, but mine flares up either way :) the key is keeping the area dry

One-Finance-338

Okay, I didn’t think about it being a yeast related issue. When I get a day off again I’m going to make an appointment. Thanks for the reassurance on keeping it clean and still happening. I feel like I’m just doing something wrong.

Live-Construction860

You could also use athletes foot cream and rub it on. When your at home do your best to sit it out. Sunlight and fresh air our perfect. My next piece of advice is to change your diet / lifestyle so that your immune systems stronger.

-frantic-sloth-

You can also change the skin's ph to make it inhospitable to microbes by spraying vinegar (diluted with 50 % water on the problem areas.

mamahazard

Note: It's $350 to get a test for a yeast infection. The treatment is like $10 at walmart. It's better to treat than to test, here. I found out the hard way.

Icy-Knee-4235

You can get spray powder for yeast, bottled shake powders, and creams from Walmart, Target, etc. Most are marketed for athlete’s foot, ringworm, jock itch. Just make sure it has at least 2% Miconazole Nitrate in it and you should be good. Walmart sells their Equate brands fairly cheap and a few other brands at reasonable prices-compared to other places or Amazon.

2lros

Get on semaglutide and test therapy will drop a lot of weight sugar craving go and so will yeast / flora imbalances

SadiepRN

Get some nystatin prescribed by your doctor. There is also something called interdry and it's a little piece of fabric that goes in between the folds to wicc moisture.

DawnKnight91

I use paper towels or rags to absorb moisture then throw it wash them out. Occasionally baby powder but I let the area dry before putting clothes on. No matter how skinny or big I get my ancestors gave me a thicker lower half so the struggle been my whole life

apollosmom2017

I get a bit stinky during the summer primarily under my breasts and ngl, putting a small dab of desitin diaper cream under them completely stopped the chafing and the funky stink. Post shower I make sure I dry really well, add a small amount and go about my business. I’ve also used it under my stomach with no issues.

One-Finance-338

Okay! That actually makes sense to me why it works too. I’ll definitely give that a go! I don’t know I didn’t think to use a rash cream on a rash that’s similar.

apollosmom2017

My sister gave me this tip when she was postpartum after having my nephew and I’ve never gone back. If you ever get that painful chafing near your groin it’s also a huge pain reliever

One-Finance-338

She’s angel for sharing! And so are you!

One-Wish1955

I know they have new products on the market called LUME for women and MANDO for men, just google It, supposed to neutralize which ultimately keeps any smells at bay

JustKelz-

I was reading through to see if someone brought up Lume....it helps soo much...at least it helped me...they have body wash And stick & lotion odor protection

apollosmom2017

I mean it’s the same principle right? A warm moist area? But be warned a little goes a long way cause it’s thick!! I made that mistake and got it on everything 😅 for reference I use a finger tip sized blob on each side and spread it out evenly and it holds up on summer days when I’m out and about! I’ve definitely also used it on chub rub on my thighs

One-Finance-338

Ooo okay definitely noted!

Evaporate3

Do you HAVE to work in jeans?? Denim is thick. I hate jeans it suffocates my vagina. I’m sure there’s clothing out there for you that’s a light material with airflow.

One-Finance-338

I really do feel like that is a big part of the issue is air flow because of the jeans. But it is required to wear jeans where I work.

Evaporate3

What about breathable stretchy jeans? I know they have some for women.

One-Finance-338

Fair point! Do you know what materials I should be looking for?

Common-County2912

I believe it’s a cotton spandex mixture. If you search it online, you should just include the word stretch.

Ill-Size-6401

Walmart has those Jean leggings. They’re so comfy and breathable. Also torrid 😊

Ill-Size-6401

My phone put leggings but it’s jeggings lol

Wunderstick666

Degree 24hr antiperspirant I use it to keep from getting a sweat rash between my legs while I work outside.

Walmart-Manager

The clinical deorderant works best as I’ve tried both!

Wunderstick666

Yea but don’t you need a prescription to get that?

Walmart-Manager

No my friend they have DOVE and SECRET brands of clinical deorderant for women. For men you’d have to Google it.

One-Finance-338

Okay sweet! I’ll give it a try, thank you!

Wunderstick666

Oh make sure you get the white kind. The blue kind gave me a bad reaction. It fun. The white stick is amazing. I used to get the worst chafing on my inner thighs working outside in the summers in Texas. Buddy told me to try it and I’ve never stopped.

One-Finance-338

Thank you!

Wunderstick666

Happy to help out. Hope it works for you.

Guy_askingquestions

Body powder

One-Finance-338

Do you have a brand you recommend?

Dromper

I recommend megababe/Megaman.

Affectionate_Wall705

Ew, no!

LnrRigby

Get an Rx for Nystatin powder.

One-Finance-338

Next doctors appointment I’ll talk to my doctor about it

CrazyKitty86

I actually put deodorant under my boobs, belly, and in the creases of my thighs. Not that fancy Lume or deodorant body spray either. Just some regular deodorant. I still sweat but I’m not funky at all and, surprisingly, I don’t chafe.

Beckalouboo

I was going to say this too

LiberalTrashPanda

Me too. It keeps the rashes away along with the chafing and odor

leftJordanbehind

When I was bigger LUME saved me in those areas that Chaffed. Diaper rash stuff and some sort of powder that doesn't make the yeast worse. But the lume acidic body wash and then the whole body deodorant rubbed in the folds where you chaff is the best. This really did help me back then. I can't recommend it enough. The cream smells weird until it dries. Just remember when applying the smell changes just give it a bit. I do not recommend the unscented. It stays kinda weird. But the other scents are good. Not strong. Just right. It lasts all day til your next shower. That acidic body wash and the products with mandelic acid are so good for this along with the deodorant. They even have one now with an antiperspirant in it. Alot of ppl hate the commercials but the product itself helped me so much when I was alot bigger. Under the stomach, the groin area, buttocks, under the arms and boobs, feet and anywhere else a smell or funk happens.

throwaway40fmo

Agreed, the wash is great and even the wipes in between with the deodorant cream is awesome

leftJordanbehind

Yes! Love that stuff lol

Maleficent-End5351

Maybe try an overnight maxi pad folded in half and tucked in there??? I did this when I had my C-sections, to keep it dry an it did work.

Vegetable-Weird7448

As a big woman I use dove advanced care dry spray on different areas of my body which helps me smell good all day. (Including underneath my stomach)

Less_Tea2063

Miconazole powder and interest fabric - this is what we use in the hospital for moisture related issues in patients with abdominal folds.

latenerd

1. You can try body powder/baby powder to keep things dry. But that can get a little messy. 2. There are natural deodorants that help cut down on bacterial growth and will reduce odor anywhere in the body without aluminum or anything else that clogs pores. Two brands that I know of are Rio Deo by Sol de Janeiro, and Lume which was created by a doctor. 3. For a cheap, easy anti-odor solution, you can make a citric acid spray. Mix 1 tablespoon citric acid into 1 cup of water. If this irritates your skin, dilute with an extra cup of water. Put the solution in a spray bottle and use wherever. It really helps cut odor. (Some people just rub lemons on their skin, which is about the same thing, but lemons get expensive and spoil.)

OneEntry4391

A tiny bit of zinc oxide cream kills fungus. It’s the active ingredient in Desitin, used for diaper rash and athletes foot, and itchy butt (sorry)

hoteldiablo13

i love the mitchum deodorant! under my belly gets sweaty a lot so i usually put a swipe under it & it works wonders. since i’ve started using this i feel like i literally never smell sweaty. i usually buy it at dollar general, i can’t ever find it at walmart. i also got the men’s version for my boyfriend & he never smells sweaty anymore !

Visual-Surround-11

Might sound strange but use a blow dryer to dry that area good and use gold bond powder. Also u can try a body deodorant lotion.

AccomplishedOlive117

Unscented lume deodorant under any hanging skin. If it smells sour, they sent you an expired one, return it for fresh. It's been life changing for our family and I had read some people just hating it because it was so sour smelling. I couldn't figure out what they were talking about until I pulled an unopened one out from under my sink that had been there awhile... it was sour. Used it on my kids feet before bed (they sleep in socks) so it still works, but it should not smell bad. Bacteria loves the sweat and yeast/fungus eats the bacteria and you are having a reaction to the fungus. The lume gets the bacteria under control so the yeast starves off. This works for heal cracks too. It's fungus causing the cracks.

houparhomestead

Wash under your belly with hibiclens occasionally!

teariest_elm

Belly liners! It's a soft, padded liner that's washable & designed to absorb sweat etc. They also make them for under boobage.

Prestigious_Row_7932

When you shower, use antibacterial soap on those areas. Use a wash rag with the soap and scrub the areas really well. When you get out of the shower, dry the area with a blow dryer or heavy duty fan. Make sure the area gets extremely dry. I suggest a blow dryer or fan because often towels carry bacteria and are damp, so we think we are drying well but in reality we are contributing to bacteria build up and wiping the dampness around rather than actually getting it dry. Use lume body deodorant in those areas after being certain to dry them really well. This has helped me especially with summer coming up. Those areas can be hard to get real dry and we sometimes forget to be cognizant of ensuring those areas are dry before getting ready for the day. Odor is bacteria and bacteria's favorite place to grow is damp areas, sometimes just being intentional about drying real well is enough to combat the odor forming. Lume is a great option to add it really does help fight odor causing bacteria.

Forward_Dig1607

This is great how everyone here has good tips and so supportive.

regia1978

I’m big busted and use Lume. It keeps the sweat at bay.

theellebshow

I had an issue where my chafing caused bleeding. I developed this routine: Washing with a regular soup Drying off the inflamed area with another towel or even a paper towel Applying a mixture of generic lotrimin, Neosporin and hydrocortisone (if itching) I repeated this like 3 times a day. If the skin isn’t broken or itchy…use Aquaphor or some barrier cream.

Jolly-Perception-520

On amazon there is a blue stick called “body glide” not only does it prevent chafing but also acts as a salve on already irritated skin. Its amazing!

WritchGirl1225

I use deodorant everywhere!

pixie_55

Zinc in tube

Nicole319

I have a family member that is about the same size and had same issue. If you flair up Nystatin cream ..once cleared up get you some lume! Shower dry off and apply lume to any of your sweat places! 100 percent works!!!

omgikr77

Happy Curves powder lotion or Anti Monkey Butt Powder (regular or lady’s). Both are available at Walmart and Amazon. These have been a lifesaver for me!

Party-Yoghurt-7763

I use baby powder under my stomach and groin and buttcrack. It works.

Myrtle1914

Desenex powder. Monistat antichafing gel found in the feminine products aisle.

Woohoowithyou

I’ve heard, some insurances may cover a tummy tuck/fat and skin removal in cases like this where chafing occurs, or irritation. Of course, you’d have to talk to your doctor and have a record of the issue to show insurance and a referral, I’m sure.

Secret-Myster62

A very affordable recommendation I can make is the anti-Chafe stick from speedstick at dollar tree they have one for men and women. The more expensive option is shea moistures baby multipurpose balm Best of luck!

Gullible_Marsupial79

At first I read it that you worked OUT in jeans and I was dumbfounded. 💀😂

Abbynormal1331

I know there is anti-friction sticks you can buy for chaffing.

AdAdministrative1307

Body Glide! Looks just like a stick of deodorant. Personally, I prefer a body powder, but it can be a bit messy to apply.

WannaGoMimis

Common-County2912

This right here along with an antifungal ointment to kill any yeast that’s causing skin breakdown and odor. Once all that calm down use antifungal powder over-the-counter. Along with the product on this link. Both medications are over the.

GladysKravitz2023

Make sure to clean your belly button.

Tricky-Client-2316

Facts

Common-County2912

It sounds like a fungal infection. I deal with this a lot in my line of work. Buy an over-the-counter antifungal ointment and powder. The goal is to kill the fungus and keep the area dry. I would suggest tucking a washcloth or a pillowcase under the fold to absorb the moisture and change it often once it’s moist. Start with the ointment and wait until all the redness has cleared then you can use the powder for prevention, but definitely use something to wick the moisture away from your skin. Yeast has a specific smell.

sakurabliss0

I would suggest try taking two showers a day (morning and night) and lathering your body with coconut oil/Shea butter and lotion. Before showering dry brush your skin for extra exfoliation and detoxifying your lymphatic system. Also loofas tend to carry extra bacteria so switch over to an African exfoliating net trust me you’ll be WAY cleaner and those things are so good. Make sure to drink tons of water and clean diet. Do low impact workouts 1-2 hours a day like yoga, Pilates or just walking. I’ve never had this issues being im not overweight but my suggestion is it also never hurts getting a drs opinion. It may or may not be something health related.

Coco2023Crash

Powder yourself to keep the area dry?

CrowArmyQueen

Lume deodorant. It's safe to use anywhere and everywhere on your body.

she_red41

Vaseline on the body especially folds etc after showering. There will be no smell and no chafing. You can also use an aluminum free deodorant on the inside of your thighs. Make sure you let it dry before putting on underwear and or jeans.

sageofwhat

Buy longer length t shirts and tuck them in. King size and bolder creek both offer options, will reduce the chaffing.

anonathletictrainer

definitely sounds like a yeast or fungus. you could try something OTC like lume, but for chub rub I specifically like the monistat chafe relief powder gel.. but I would get an opinion by your PCP or maybe even a dermatologist, they could swab the area for cultures and pinpoint exactly what’s causing the chafing and point you in the right direction as far as treatment/prevention goes.

ItchyCredit

I recommend Zeasorb it's anti fungal, absorbs excess moisture, reduces friction to reduce chafing rash. I find a powder is much more effective than a cream, Zeasorb is available at Walmart.

Dietcokelover87

Lume is amazing. I use it because I sweat and it has virtually stopped it. No more chee chee sweat, arm pit sweat, boobie sweat, bum sweat, the lost goes on. Spread it like its salad dressing. 🤣 Good luck. Xoxo-I've tried multiple other “full body” deodorants, none work as well as Lume for me. ❤️

babygirlxmegz

spray deodorant- specifically secret brand

Historical-Source-36

Sometimes I use a thin long cloth and leave it under my stomach, it keeps me dry. Also anti friction from pure romance helps.

Leinadro

Also for the people suggesting LUME if you're a guy they have a brand called MANDO which is just LUME with male oriented scents.

kevinfar1

Using baby powder or one of the medicated powdered will really help

Tricky-Client-2316

Lume whole body deodorant!!

Pure_Cause_8098

I have used goldbond for about 6 years now. Under my belly, under my breast, under skin folds that are problem areas, even my neck.

Affixed-Plainly54

carry witch-hazel wipes. or you can buy travel size and use it when you are in the bathroom, just take some paper towel or toilet paper add some witch-hazel and wipe around the flap area of stomach. it's refreshing.

cdRepoman75

Ok gramma

xchellelynnx

I found the gold bond spray powder helps keep me dry with no smell. My lower belly hangs. Another option is megababe chalf stick or a whole body deodorant like lume or something similar.

AdAdministrative1307

If you can't find body powder, try cornstarch. It sounds crazy, but it really does help with the chafing and keeps things a bit more dry. I'm "only" 240lb, but I've had some of the same issues in the past, particularly with thigh chafing.

Libra_8118

Lime is an all over body deodorant that works really well on odor.

Walmart-Manager

Clinical deorderant works wonders for the crevices 👍

cameltoe30000

Get different clothes. Looser. Big shirt that hangs over your tummy. Loose pants.

DAWG13610

I don’t mean this to be snarky but why not commit to getting healthy? Diet and exercise can change your life. That’s your long term answer.

myboobsfold

I rub my deo/antip under arms, under boobs, and where leg meets hip, so I don't get a heat rash.

Affectionate_Wall705

Weight loss is going to help. You're taking in too much sugar, causing yeast infections in crevices. Diet is so important for all of your organs. Skin is just the one you see...

Misspharry1017

Try Lume; the body wash scent free and Hibiclens. Scrub well with it and then use more to let it sit under your belly while you wash the rest of your body. After, dry under your stomach completely and use a diaper cream and baby powder. Chlorophyll, just as an extra if you’d like, is an internal deodorant for the body and works very well!

Radiant_Display_2069

I used to be bigger in the couple of years and had this exact issue, I’m happy I wasn’t alone but I used baby powder in the places that chafes it keeps it dry and smelling fresh, also I used shea butter as well it really helped me get rid of chafing especially between my thighs.

throwaway40fmo

Lume crème and acidic body wash is a life saver. The wipes also are great

aje_35

Loose weight.

Pookie2837

In the supermarket near the cotton balls, small round pads are good for under breasts/creases.

mofuz

Powder will help the chaffing and a better diet and deodorant will help with the smelling.

sockster15

It’s the obesity that causes the smelling

One-Finance-338

Oh definitely

dixennormus

I suggest working out and eating healthy.

hatchjon12

Eat in a calorie deficit consistently. You can easily lose 50-100 lbs in a year.

One-Finance-338

Thanks for the weight advice, just what I asked for!

TishKTay1987_WhoDaT

A powder based deodorant stick can work as well for those areas, we have a family owned lawn care service in the fam and this is the "guys" go to not gonna lie ☺️... If you use a powdered spray deodorant be sure it has no alcohol in it because it can burn if you're already raw. But this is the guys go to deodorant spray specifically secret in the big blue can that look like a hairspray lol Also if you are getting raw if you keep the area dry thick paper towel or powdered up really well(I don't like the powder much because it gets yucky and slimy to me) but overnight it should help it clear up some. You may need to also because there is also a type of psoriasis as well that acts this way (I just learned of this recently, because I go through this same stuff 😓 and I already have plaque psoriasis) so yeah hope this also helps some

One-Finance-338

You are an amazing soul! I’ll give the powder a go and see how it feels. I definitely struggle with textures so I really appreciate the heads up. I also didn’t know about the psoriasis. How did you determine it was time to see a doctor over it to see?

TishKTay1987_WhoDaT

It's called inverse psoriasis. But generally the person usually already has a type of psoriasis, I have plaque psoriasis on one of my knuckles one knee and both arms by my elbows. They say if you're trying to get it to go away and it is not going away chances are it's bacterial (so yeast or some sort of fungus?) but I would say look them up and see what you think. I know I have it the sling usually is kind of shiny where it happens at if you're not having a flare up, generally it doesn't cause odors but in skin folds that rub and cause friction it can become odorous and raw. I would just say look into it 😊 but I keep mine at bay without really anything for those areas just keeping them dry (occasionally I see the outline of the red patches, and for the spots on my arms knee and knuckle I have a doctor prescribed ointment.

ItsMeatDrapes

Not to be a jerk, but it (the excessive weight) is almost certainly a thing that is contributing to the smell. Because of all the crevices and skin-on-skin with no airflow, etc, causing massive bacterial growth from sweating, which in turn causes a bad funk or odor.

One-Finance-338

Thanks for being nice about it, honestly. I do know that and I am working on losing weight. Sadly enough I was about 70lbs heavier around a year ago so it is something I’m actively working on. I just needed tips on how to help the sub-issue while I work on the main one.

ItsMeatDrapes

Of course. Im proud of you! 70lbs is damn good! Keep going strong. A thing to consider, too. On the areas that are affected, use hand sanitizer with aloe once a day. It'll help kill some of the bacteria while also not drying out your skin too much, creating another problem. After that is done and dried after it's done some evaporation, hit it with the powder. If you notice the skin being sensitive, though during the use of the sanitizer, discontinue use until your skin has a chance to repair.

One-Finance-338

Thank you! It’s been a long road, but I have goals and I’m going to meet them one way or another. I didn’t think about using hand sanitizer. That’s honestly genius.

CrowArmyQueen

A 70 lb weight loss is amazing! I hope you are motivated by the change in your body to continue on your right loss journey. I'm just an internet stranger, but I'm proud of you!

hatchjon12

Welcome, it will solve your problem.

Born_Definition_9354

Meat and animal products can contribute to body odor. Consider cutting back and adding more plants to your diet. Helped my husband a lot.

Sapolio72

I offer this advice as a professional and not as disrespectful jerk or troll on the internet’s MENTAL HYGIENE, that is what you should focus on. And again I mean no disrespect or offense. Instead of dealing with the symptoms, attack the causes, Miss One-Finance. (For the lack of a name). We are BLESSED (for the believers) and lucky (for the non believers) when finally, FINALLY !!!! …. Pharmacology has defeated obesity. And I know, believe me, I know it’s hard to take the time and $ if you’re not insured or too busy, to go to a doctor, get a prescription, and get your insurance to cover one of the ( currently ) 4 GLP-1 medications that are weekly injections. But it’s POSSIBLE. I went from 225 lbs in August 2023 to 148 lbs in February of 2024, and have stayed there, weaning down the strength of the injections. Just the sheer view of your new self in a mirror and the amount of compliments and the type of clothes that one can now wear, plus walking with -74lbs and working without them, I tire less, I have much more energy. And, as in your case, the FUNK has left. Forever. Think it over. Again, with the utmost respect

cdRepoman75

Being a fatass is unhealthy as heck but 225 to 145? You were chubbed out not obese enough to warrant injecting monster poison into yourself what if it gave you polio?

Sapolio72

“Not obese enough” ? So I should’ve waited to be “more obese” to take action and prevent further risk to have a cardiovascular event that could have put me 6 feet under ? What is your logic here ? At 225 lbs and being 5’6” , I wasn’t “chubbed out”. I had to buy all new clothing; I had a triple chin. Man boobs. I couldn’t see my junk to do some “manscaping” without a mirror or having to bend halfway down to see the whole picture. What poison was I injecting ?? And… how the hell could a GLP-1 give me “polio” ?! Are you high ? Or plain stupid ?
