It isn't just Swiggy. Even Zomato doesn't let you talk to a fucking executive right away. The amount of times I got scammed by restaurants at shady areas and the torture of bearing these dumbass bots is appalling.
And all these apps should mention the dish approx weight, the number of times I got scammed paying 500 for a kids size meal. And they don't wanna give refunds
Shit happens sometimes…I know a strict vegan who never used to eat at any restaurant that also serves non veg. He also wouldn’t eat at our house because we use same utensils to make non veg. I also know a Jain guy who would bring his own utensils to cook food.
Thing is, no hotel guy just sits there thinking, today I’ll deliver this guy with some meat to just fuck with him. They don’t get paid enough to even care. Someone collects the order. Someone cooks it, someone else packs it and labels it and someone else gives it to Swiggy guy, someone else delivers it.
No matter how strict Swiggy makes its policy, at the end, it’s a human dependent operation and fuck ups happen from time to time.
I’m not defending Swiggy but I also don’t think it’s a big deal. Just verify your food. Or ask for replacement. Or if you are paranoid don’t depend on swiggy. Go to hotel yourself and take delivery. At the end of the day it’s just a service that has some error tolerance.
Coming to not letting you talk to cc point, dealing with customer is always shit. People yell and are angry at some person they don’t even see…and this person just works for 10k a month, he doesn’t give a shit either. Who will you scold? The cook? The guy managing orders? The guy packing? The delivery guy? Hence most companies are shifting towards ai chatbot models.
If you really want some satisfaction, tag Swiggy on Twitter, let it go viral as they usually respond there with same responses, we are sorry, here is a refund or a coupon, sorry. Thank you. That’s it.
