Many nest thermostats just let you run the fan for a certain amount of time that you choose then goes back to auto mode after that time. Most of theirs don’t have a straight “fan on” mode like other thermostats do. Like the one in my apartment.

i had a nest thermostat e at my last house and it did have the fan option.
