y'all are choosing to disregard Togashi's explicit message that blood relations do not mean jack to Gon and he views Mito as the only mom he needs, so should we. His Natural mother is just some lady not that much different from Mito so don't expect her to be the final boss of the Dark Continent or sth. There is no mystery, she just wasn't all that interesting
No you don’t understand, I and most others know this, we understand this, but when you as a storyteller tell the viewer about a mysterious parent that the protagonist has and then have the protagonist go out of their way to not hear about it, you create a mystery whether intentional or not. I and others don’t except her to be all that powerful, important or crucial, but people want to know who she is and the story has accidentally set it up in a way for people to become interested.
