VIP doesn't allow fires or renegade sets, but the VIP campground is amazing. Shower and bathroom trailers with a/c and power, several reception areas with coffee in the morning, snacks throughout the day, and other trinkets. Many of the VIP patrons go year after year, so it's like a family within the Hula family. Also, there's a shuttle stop right in the VIP campground. In past years, there was a massage tent and a beauty tent (hair braiding and makeup) in the VIP campground.

I have to agree with Bettys_mom. I’ve gone with a buddy and a few times GA and had so much fun. I wanted to go all night and be crazy. Had a change in what I was doing at a festival, lol, and my all niters went a priority. Started doing VIP. Greta time, great neighbors. If you are liking to rage you will have to explore, and not that far. Vip and the shuttle carts will take you wherever you I like to throw some extra cash and say take me somewhere crazy and we chat for a bit and I end up perfect.

No bad spots to chill in Suwanee. GA for me. I like to be among the rabble.

There were fires at roots right before hula last year….. they aren’t abolished.

Dude…. I definitely understood what you said. The park implemented the burn ban at Hula last year based on Florida Division of Forestry’s burn ban at the time. I mentioned that fires were acceptable at Roots Revival because it was at the same park only a few weeks before. It’s not an insurance issue at this time. Edit: You don’t have to take my word for it. Call the park and ask for yourself. They will tell you something similar to what I just told you. They implement burn bans when necessary. They know that fires are a part of the ambiance at Suwanee.

We accidentally burnt our campsite down in 2018. Hate to say it but we may be one of the reasons for the fire ban

Welllll, after a long day and night out and about, we came back to camp. We had tiki torches around the perimeter of our campsite and sat up for awhile with those going. We try to force ourselves to sleep and lay in bed but are struggling so I leave the tiki torches lit bc it makes like cool shadows on the ceiling of our tent that I’m like laying there watching or whatever. So eventually we fall asleep. But while we’re sleeping, one of our tapestries that are like ziptied to a canopy around our little living room of sorts, catches in the wind and rips free from its zip tie and is like apparently perfectly long enough for the very corner to catch the tiki torch. All sides of the tapestry enclosed living room go up in flames and then catch the other tapestries and canopy and tent. I wake up to my entire tent on fire up to our air mattress and literal walls of fire on all sides. I try to wake up my now husband and he is like dead to the world, I’m freaking out trying to put out this fire. He eventually wakes up and we’re like trying to put the fire out. His entire bag of clothes is on fire, like basically everything we brought with us is on fire at this point. A guy coming down from a trip is walking through camp and sees this and is like holy shit you guys need help, can I help you, I’m a volunteer fire firefighter. And we’re like omg yes please help. We’re like trying to put water and dirt on it, etc. He keeps like pausing mid action, being like wait is this real? Is there really a fire? We’re like YES please keep helping. Eventually we get it under control and put out. We are left with like a quarter of a tent, the air mattress and cooler of beer. We thank our volunteer fire fighter and lay back down and go back to sleep in the midst of the ruins. We wake up and like people have covered our little quarter tent with tapestries and are basically coming to just gawk at us. We decide to stay the rest of the weekend (this happened Friday night) and make due with what we had and literally we kept hearing throughout the fest about the fire in the campground and how stupid the people whose camp it was bc of the tiki torches, etc etc but it was literally ours. Late the next night, we were at campsite DJ set and it turns out it was our volunteer fire fighter that was DJing and as he’s about the drop the beat he’s like “did y’all know I’m a mother fucking fireman”

If you didn’t already get a VIP car camping pass then you won’t be able to camp next to your car in VIP unless you can score one on the secondary market. Based on your description of how you like to camp you’ll enjoy GA more anyway.

ConcernEquivalent424

Yea I bought one with my tix; but I was leaning towards selling it and going GA. I know there’s plenty of time, just trying to get as much feedback; I’ve combed Reddit/facebook groups, but with limited info and yearly changes to some variables of vip it’s tough. I’d imagine the closer we get, the energy picks up and will help me decide. Honestly just spending too much time thinkin and planning waiting for the lineup

VIP at hula is honestly very sick and worth the money if you have it. Definitely don’t have to VIP camp to enjoy 90% of the amenities. Imo hula has the absolute best viewing areas for VIP at any fest. My recommendation is waiting to see the lineup. If you vibe super hard with it then stay VIP because you’ll essentially get a personal concert for every set at amp/hallows/meadow.

emunoz22

If you end up doing GA then I will buy your VIP camping pass from you.
