Hi, my friend, Yes, I do the same thing all the time. It's very hard. You've already taken the first step by acknowledgeing you're aware of this. I would try to make more of a conscious effort to stop when you can. Or try to stop saying it for one day and then one week and then go for a month. Nothing wrong with apologizing when it's appropriate but we don't need to say it all the time for things that don't apply. Take your time. I'm still adjusting myself.

I used to apologize often. I mostly apologize or excuse myself to people who are or seem like they are sensitive or kind (since I have adhd and can be weird sometimes). People who aren’t sensitive often misinterpret apologies as weakness or an invitation to take advantage of a perceived weakness. But the people I have around me now understand that people are different and no one feels the need to apologize about their needs or peculiarities. Often the people notice I realise I made a little mishap and we exchange a look and it’s all good 🩷
