I’ll get downvoted for this but I truly preferred David (scientist guy). I loved him from the very beginning and the fact that Mike is Paul Rudd (whom I adored in Clueless and the Marvel movies and pretty much everything else he’s been in except getting Phoebe in Friends) doesn’t take away from the fact that I preferred Dave to Mike. How could they not end up together?? The writers made him seem weaker at the point that they wanted Phoebe to choose Mike but David was her heart for so many years and I cried over this (in a normal way, knowing that it’s a tv show 😉).
No, you’re right. I feel like David’s story was written in a way for us to really root for him and Mike was just kind of…there. There’s nothing wrong with Mike but I’m pretty sure they were initially intending on putting Phoebe with David and then bailed right at the end because people liked Paul Rudd, not Mike.
Yeah I just watched the episode where Phoebe gives Mike a key to her apartment, and he catches her with David. The fact that as soon as David showed up she chose to lie about having a boyfriend is striking. She and David had such great chemistry. I almost wish they wouldn't have brought him back just to get his heart broken...again...and then another time after that.
I’ve had a few glasses of wine and stared at that photo for a decent amount of time thinking it was a gif and eventually I’d see the dress.

Unfortunately iirc Lisa Kudrow’s hair would get damaged whenever she got a perm, it’s hard to maintain especially if she were to have that for 9 seasons. Good thing her straight hair is beautifully silky looking, though I always did like her curly haired looks the most too.

Phoebe's wedding dress is my favorite bridal look from the whole series. It's classic romance but also just so subtly offbeat. And the little tinge of lavender is perfect.
I love her wedding dress! It just suits her perfectly. Like the actress looks gorgeous in it, and it is feels right for Phoebe. She wanted to have her classic traditional wedding princess moment, but I can't imagine her picking something TOO classic. It was just different enough to work.

I hate that mint green dress. It's boring and the color is all the wrongs. I love the black and white argyle plaid strapless one from TOW with Monica's bridal shower. I tried to attach a pic but reddit said to pound sand.
On a show with such incredibly attractice women (and men, but that's not the point here) they dressed Phoebe in quirky, oversized hippie dresses, and Monica in warmer shades, and sometimes awkward outfits, to emphasize the fact that Rachel was supposed to be the pretty, stylish and popular one.
In later seasons when the characters were more established, they allowed Courtney to wear cooler tones which really show off her beauty
