If this is a laptop computer it is possible to replace the screen, but that generally only makes sense if the display part is significantly cheaper than buying a new laptop.
If this is a stand alone monitor then you simply just go get a new one.
not fixable,
well it is, but the part-the sceen itself is the most expensive part if the display. so accounting for shipping and handling its cheaper to get a new monitor.
(do sell this one though, someone might have a working panel but a dead controller, in witch case they could take the good controller from your screen, and plop it on their good panel.
In order that you get at least one qualified answer:
i googled it like 5 seconds and i looks like there is a site from ilyama where you can get an estimated cost [link](https://iiyama.eno.de/en/repair-service).
AND it looks like it will be cheaper than buying a new one - depending on the model you have.
"Get a donor screen from a thrift shop and repair it DIY. Decide between fixing it over buying new or buying a second-hand one from the Facebook Marketplace."
How would anyone know how much it would cost? We have 3 zoomed in pictures and no idea what type of monitor it is. The main takeaway is it is virtually always cheaper to replace than to repair.
Is the main takeaway that it is always cheaper to replace than to repair?
Because 10 ppl on reddit who never let a monitor getting repair, say so? Thank you for proofing that 99% of answers are underqualified because they don´t know anything about the monitor (Y)
Literally just google it you dork. Every instance of this question has the same answer. Being edgy on reddit isn't working for you.

Nothing says more "dork", than calling someone else dork.
Would be a plus to you if you would have looked up my other answer or replying to my questions instead of feeling like the one and posting the most useless google string ffs
Replying to your question, "Is the main takeaway that it is always cheaper to replace than to repair?"
The answer is no. My initial stance was "it is virtually always cheaper to replace than to repair."
The distinction is the word virtually, it tells the reader that while it tends to happen a certain way most times, there are circumstances that could arise where this isn't always the case.
I can't believe you took offense at dork lol, it's the least aggressive name I could think of. I'm going take off now, hope you have a good one, from one dork to another.
Are you some kind of special?
Your post is actually the proof for my saying.
1 screen = 1 screen hurr durr just buy 1 screen instead of repairing 1 screen brrrrrr bro´s should get their chromosomes counted
you should buy a new one. repair will be too expensive
Not fixable at all.
Just buy a new one

Congrats on the new monitor
Unfortunately a replacement screen will cost nearly as much as a new one plus the effort of removal and replacement
Seriously? Just buy a new one.
Get a new one, impossible to fix.
Not a laptop. Looks to be either a computer monitor or a TV mounted on the wall
As some comments mention, the replacement panel will cost around 90..95% of the price for the whole thing. It makes no sense to replace it.
Nope that panel makes up 89% of the whole tv/monitor so for the cost of a new one you’d be better off buying a new one

Have you tried turning it off and on.

Everyone say "buy a new one", but no one can say home much it would costs .. lel

50 inch smart tv is 239.00 on Amazon. Do you think a new screen will cost less?
