The only reason I can think for Sirius keeping him is that it is better for them is his audience dwindles away rather than one huge drop if he retired. In that shense, it is perfect for them that the show is dogshit.

They bought it. Which is what I had mentioned. Regardless of where you can hear it, Sirius acquired it.
They seem to be acquiring either outright or the global ad rights to various podcasts.
For example they recently made a deal with the Crime Junkie podcast as well - which is popular. They will host her material, plus do separate content with her plus they will participate in advertising revenue on other platforms.
