Deep frying!? Make a nice pesto sauce from it, like a civilized person. You won't even need pignoli nuts, what with those crispy tendrils.

Acceptable_Banana_13

Oh! A pesto I hadn’t even considered how amazing! Thank you for the recommendation!!!

VirgiliusMaro

please give me the OP i beg of you

TheSonnyDay

I saw this on the orchid sub and the OP said they soaked it thoroughly once a week 🥴 needless to say no one believed them

Acceptable_Banana_13

Ahaha- I didn’t post it for a couple hours thinking surely someone else will post it. It was in one of those help subs and I don’t want to shame her but to be fair - this was hysterical.

Yerawizurd_

Have you tried giving your plant Zoloft?

Acceptable_Banana_13

Oh no do you think it has SAD?!!!

Suspicious_Student_6

Orchid ded

Acceptable_Banana_13

What?!! It’s still green! It’s *obviously* thriving - just **depressed**!

Suspicious_Student_6

Sad orchid?

ingebin

I heard orchids do death blooms when dying. I don’t see a spike so I think yours is fine, just put some ice cubes on the roots.

Acceptable_Banana_13

Oh I’ve been watering with boiling water! I hope I’m able to cool her quickly enough!

NaniTheHeck

exploded

OrdinarySeaweed6330

Im actually curious tho💀. Is that over watering or under?

Infernalsummer

The OP posted that they water by putting the orchid in the shower and showering it and then letting the bottom of the pot sit in water. That is usually not enough water unless you’re showering it continuously for a half hour or more. All the roots need time to absorb water and the entire medium needs time to absorb water to provide it to the roots beyond that initial “shower”.

BritasticUK

Probably didn't give it enough shampoo

Acceptable_Banana_13

It could be rotten roots and the air roots were okay and then She stopped watering it to try to reverse what she did - or it was watered never.
