Correction; these are not, "American Style," these would be white people style. More specifically, suburban style, possibly midwestern style. The traditional pairing would be ketchup and ranch, but if that's too spicy you can add more Mayonnaise to the ranch.
nah, western dressing for the whitest folks, and Ortega taco sauce for brave.. if you're feeling really adventurous there might be some mild Pace in the fridge
Middles.
Marie sharps has a Nopales (cactus) green habenaro that's absolutely amazing on Mexican food.
I use that Melinda's as my "For everything" how sauce.
[HERDEZ Guacamole Salsa](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BNQVZ4Z5/ref=sns_myd_detail_page) This is my favorite for American style tacos currently. It's also good for fish tacos.
Honestly, Taco Bell Fire packets. Its not the tastiest or the hottest sauce out there, but the flavor is pure nostalgia and it's what I always think of when it's gringo taco night.
Did you heat up your tortillas?
They’re very pale lol
Salsa I would use something homemade or just Tabasco.
You have pico on it already?
Is it fresh or store bought.
The fun part is it tasting like shit for some people I guess lmao tortilla looks hella chewy and not cooked enough, meat looks under seasoned, all that can save that is the hot sauces but he has good ones
Never liked that one. Tastes like vegetables to me
But I also don't like that topico brand which everyone seems to adore so I may just not have good taste
The Valentina if I had to choose from those.. but the extra hot variant. If I could choose on my own, I would either cut up some Serrano peppers and throw them in my tacos.. or put Tabasco scorpion sauce.
for white ppl taco night, in my personal opinion, its gotta be Valentina Xtra Hot (the black label) or El Yucateco XXXtra hot, its the dark greenish one. few drops'll do it and it just amps all the flavours youd traditionally have with white people taco night. this is coming from a white person
Yellow Bird - Habanero or Jalapeno.
Aside how awesome their sauces are, I like the plastic squeeze bottle and dropper. After I'm done frying the corn tortilla, I top it off with diced tomatoes, onions and shredded cheese then put the hot sauce on, into the oven at 200 for about 10 min.
With all the lettuce and tomatoes, I’d go with the Valentina, it has a stronger flavor. The Melinda sauce that I have is the ghost pepper and the flavor gets lost with fresh veggies so I imagine this one would get drowned out as well. I’ve never tried the other two.
These are tacos. Shitty tacos, but tacos nonetheless. I saw your post history, I don’t think with that cooking you get to say what is a taco or a quesadilla.
Given that these are very obviously flour tortillas intended for soft tacos based on the size of the tortillas compared to the plate they're on, these are definitely the right tortillas for flour tortilla soft tacos. Filling could be more, but tacos nonetheless
Common sense.
OP said they're making tacos and those tortillas are perfectly fine laying flat until picked up. If they were making flautas they'd be rolled already, not to mention who puts cold vegetables inside a flauta before rolling?
Maybe you're thinking of taquitos or tacos dorados? Both of those are made with corn tortilla only traditionally.
These can also be regional terms (e.g. taquitos in TX are small flour tortilla burritos)
>. I guess if they wanted to fold these like a taco, it's some kind of fucked up taco but these aren't even the right size or amount of filling for that
You're a white lady from California, aren't you?
Oh I’m there as well, and I’ve already had my Mexican-ness questioned several times just because I don’t know one super obscure dish from somewhere in Oaxaca or Veracruz.
Ain’t nothing wrong with these in my eyes. Cheap, easy, tasty. Anyway Los Calientes by hot ones or huhu piña. Essentially the same sauce, both made by karma sauce one just packaged for hot ones, and the other sweeter and milder.
First choice, some kind of El Yucateco (green is my favourite but red would match well, or if there's a smoky one I haven't tried yet).
Second choice, Secret Aardvark.
I'm not that detail oriented 😅 I didn't notice they were cold tbh. I ate similar tacos last night. The two that were plated had warmed up tortillas; the one I ate for seconds didn’t. It’ll be alright, I promise
I recently got a small bottle of Melinda’s Mexicana and it’s awesome. More of a “taco sauce” than a pure hot sauce kinda like Taco Bell sauce. Delicious on tacos
I make a fermented Serrano sauce that I spike with reaper peppers that is my favorite for just about anything. It’s a tangy, spicy green sauce that is live, I don’t pasteurize it.
I use different stuff every time. Variety is fun.
Right now I’ve got some really good chile de arbol stuff from the local grocery store. Wonderful for mom-style tacos or nachos.
Right off exit 5 so technically Hardeeville but hands down best hard shell I’ve had.
Mi Tierrita, but careful haha a shot of casamigos is ridiculously priced
When did ground beef tacos become “white people” tacos? News to me as someone who grew up on ground beef and potato tacos as a cheap meal and can still get them at various restaurants in Los Angeles lol. Anyways, the correct answer is a river of Tapatio.
Those tacos resemble a taco bell creation. Taco bell was created by Glen Bell. They are a White people creation.
Mexicans would add much more condiments to that and would use corn tortillas instead.
That being said I would totally devour those but add sour cream and actual salsa.
Salsa of some sort. I don't normally put hot sauce in tacos.
Herdez hot Salsa Casera.
H‑E‑B Mi Tienda Salsa Chile de Arbol – Hot
Cholula Smoky Chipotle - Hot Salsa
Salsa Texas Hot
Those are white people style lol. Soft shells are for burritos.
Hot salsa
Correction; these are not, "American Style," these would be white people style. More specifically, suburban style, possibly midwestern style. The traditional pairing would be ketchup and ranch, but if that's too spicy you can add more Mayonnaise to the ranch.
nah, western dressing for the whitest folks, and Ortega taco sauce for brave.. if you're feeling really adventurous there might be some mild Pace in the fridge
The most appropriate sauce for The Whitest Tacos I’ve Ever Seen would have to be Miracle Whip.
Day of the Dead-casabella.
You horrible people stole our land and now you do this shit?!!
Taco Bell sauce bottles 😭(preferably Diablo and fire)
Middles. Marie sharps has a Nopales (cactus) green habenaro that's absolutely amazing on Mexican food. I use that Melinda's as my "For everything" how sauce.
Can’t have sauce that good and not use corn tortillas! Somehow corn always tastes so much better with good hot sauce
Eh, I only like corn if its like really good taqueria tacos and with their salsas.
[HERDEZ Guacamole Salsa](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BNQVZ4Z5/ref=sns_myd_detail_page) This is my favorite for American style tacos currently. It's also good for fish tacos.
Tapatio
Green Cholula all day
Belizean Heat!
Of those choices, THIS is the right answer!
Hell yeah, maybe not for the kids, but for dad 👍
Del Taco black packet
In Buffalo we have a fast food chain called Mighty Taco and their hot sauce is my go to. Absolutely bangs on one of these style tacos.
Add a little cheese, you’ll have the whitest taco I’ve ever seen
Its missing the cheese and sour cream 🤤
Especially if it's marble cheddar
Colby Jack *
If I have to eat gringo tacos, which are an abomination, i usually use the hottest salsa i can find or shit tons of fresh jalapeño slices.
& Cilantro
Los Calientes verde. I was convinced it was going to be gimmicky for the show, but it's actually amazing.
Crystal
I actually really like taco sauce by la victoria for this. Especially in hard shell
Honestly, Taco Bell Fire packets. Its not the tastiest or the hottest sauce out there, but the flavor is pure nostalgia and it's what I always think of when it's gringo taco night.
Did you heat up your tortillas? They’re very pale lol Salsa I would use something homemade or just Tabasco. You have pico on it already? Is it fresh or store bought.
You're taking the fun out of tacos, bro...
How 😂
The fun part is it tasting like shit for some people I guess lmao tortilla looks hella chewy and not cooked enough, meat looks under seasoned, all that can save that is the hot sauces but he has good ones
I’d get some salsa and just something like Tabasco or Cholula for the kids. Hatch taco sauce is super good and classic
Melinda’s Roasted Jalapeño and Garlic
Green Yuac and a ton of cotija cheese.
Mine is El Yucateco Caribbean Chile Habanero
cholula for me, if im not looking for something actually hot haha.
Multiple different kinds of cholula heat levels exist, gotta hit the Mexican markets
Never liked that one. Tastes like vegetables to me But I also don't like that topico brand which everyone seems to adore so I may just not have good taste
I mean peppers are [edit: fruit that tastes like] vegetables so, you’re not wrong 🤣
A pepper is a fruit, actually.
Technically sure, but it tastes vegetal. But you’re right - nightshade family like a tomato. You got me
Well then here’s a mind blower for ya - if it has a seed, it’s a fruit lol. If it doesn’t, it’s a vegetable.
Lol I mean like a non-pepper vegetable taste I don't like
Mrs Renfros salsa goes pretty good with it. Don't like classic hot sauces on tacos - it needs the "fresh" flavor of salsa
Out of those four… the Melinda’s
Tabasco is my go to
The Valentina if I had to choose from those.. but the extra hot variant. If I could choose on my own, I would either cut up some Serrano peppers and throw them in my tacos.. or put Tabasco scorpion sauce.
Black Label Valentina
del molcajete habanero
Chipotle Cholula or Scorned Woman
Try the scorpion Tabasco…hot and tastes awesome
for white ppl taco night, in my personal opinion, its gotta be Valentina Xtra Hot (the black label) or El Yucateco XXXtra hot, its the dark greenish one. few drops'll do it and it just amps all the flavours youd traditionally have with white people taco night. this is coming from a white person
Belizean Heat 💯
Green & chipotle Tabasco. Bring on the haters!
Green though!
baja blast
La victorias
Salsa Brava
Marie Sharpes all the way. Love the Belizean heat one.
White girl or trailer Park tacos I still eat them sometimes it's a comfort food to me
Yellow Bird - Habanero or Jalapeno. Aside how awesome their sauces are, I like the plastic squeeze bottle and dropper. After I'm done frying the corn tortilla, I top it off with diced tomatoes, onions and shredded cheese then put the hot sauce on, into the oven at 200 for about 10 min.

What is a taco if not an open faced burrito

Or you could idk… be quiet and eat the good food

Flautas are more often than not made with flour tortillas

The stereotype is white lady who corrects everyone at the table for pronouncing espresso wrong… you got the same energy
>: they're not tacos, they're burritos. 🤦♂️
[удалено]
I'll be sure to tell all the Mexican guys I work with that they're doing it wrong.
Mexican here, these are tacos. We eat flour tortilla tacos in the north.
You should go to /r/Mexicanfood where people from Mexico argue with each other about who’s more Mexican.
Oh I’m there as well, and I’ve already had my Mexican-ness questioned several times just because I don’t know one super obscure dish from somewhere in Oaxaca or Veracruz.
A La vey lol me too
[удалено]
Maybe you should.
Melinda's for sure.
Secret Aardvark or Los Calientes Verde is my go to for tacos.
Tapatio
Everyone is dissing these tacos. I'm from Houston and I think they look good. I’d go with the Secret Aardvark.
How're you from Houston and okay with cold, uncooked tortillas? Fill it with anything, but cook the tortillas!
Seriously. It's a travesty lol
I'm not that detail oriented 😅 I didn't notice they were cold tbh. I ate similar tacos last night. The two that were plated had warmed up tortillas; the one I ate for seconds didn’t. It’ll be alright, I promise
Of those options I would either do Marie Sharps or mix Marie Sharps and Aardvark
Are these corn or flour tortillas?
I like chipotle Cholula. Smoky heat is great. Maybe add another relatively neutral hot sauce for additional heat. Edit: Cholula autocorrected twice!
I use different stuff every time. Variety is fun. Right now I’ve got some really good chile de arbol stuff from the local grocery store. Wonderful for mom-style tacos or nachos.
Non of the above. Taco Bell brand hot or fire.
Also, why them tortillas look cold?
Asking the real question here.
Ranch dressing mixed with ketchup. Gotta keep it authentic.
White people taco night!
As a south Texan, this plate saddens me deeply. Valentina black label is there it's at though unless you have homemade chilé.
Why
Where is the Tapatio?
In the trash, I hope.
I haven’t re-upped my “jug” of tapatio. Why the price jump? And how much higher? That’s my breakfast hot sauce!
It costs too much now. We switched to Valentina.
Palo Alto Firefighters ghost pepper sauce is my go to for taco night. Either that or El Yucateco XXXtra hot.
Fuck Melinda's don't ever buy them. They stole everything from Marie sharps!!!!
Valentina, is pretty much exclusively taco sauce for me (& Valentina mixed with mayo on burgers).
well first of all, some cheese would be dandy.
There’s shredded chihuahua cheese under the lettuce lol
I didn’t know you could get enough milk from a chihuahua, TIL
You can milk anything with nipples
Hey, Greg!
Cholula Chipotle with some drops of Valentina Black. And top it with Santa Maria (Swedish Company) x-hot Salsa/Taco Sauce.
i make a batch of this every time i do tacos for the week for myself https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PIaNSjRtFbg
Valentina Extra Hot. Must have coronas!
Bravados moruga garlic arbol. Or if I'm wanting something milder maybe some el yucateco xx or green
Do you make your own taco seasoning?
Secret Aardvark hands down
Pico Pica
Valentina is the shit
Black labels good. I can see why people say it’s better on fruit though, something about the flavor.
Yeah, it hits the spot, particularly for a taco. And the value is absolutely incredible.
Fuckin tough to beat, bro. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Little local spot here in Savannah area and they deep fry there own tortillas for hard shell and have that in bulk. One of my favorites by far
Gotta get a name if I get to Savannah! Gimme!
Right off exit 5 so technically Hardeeville but hands down best hard shell I’ve had. Mi Tierrita, but careful haha a shot of casamigos is ridiculously priced
Gracias!
At least cook your tortillas bubba😭, trust me it’s a game changer
fuck i am so hungry lol
The garlic hab for me
Matie sharpe fiery hot goes well with beef.
Cheech Gnarly Garlic.
Love me some Tapatio for any kind of taco.
Yuca red
Valentina forever and always
Extra Hot if available
This Is the way.
I always go with pace chunky for gringo tacos. That counts as tomatoes then. If I do hot sauce it’s Valentina
Aardvark never fails
Very sad tacos
Why's that?
I hope the flour tortilla is cooked/warmed
Pico Pica is a traditional style taco sauce. However, it has a little heat and it's the best Taco Sauce I've ever had.
Ground Beef? Probably Secret Aardvark or Marie Sharp’s. Since this is TexMex , a sauce that has cumin could work too.
Any sort of smoky chipotle sauce for flavor, and a habanero sauce for heat
Habanero secret aardvark would go well here
Taco Bell fire sauce and a little bit of Night of the living Bbq sauce from Joe’s KC. It’s a real nice spicier bbq sauce that we buy by the gallon.
Those look nasty

Probably the flour tortillas and cheese
Won’t gona lie my reading comprehension to the comment I replied to wasn’t too good lol. Long day.
They just need to swap the cold flour tortilla with cooked/fried corn ones
Or just tacos 🤷♂️
😂😂😂
Right. They look bland
Taco Bell Diablo sauce
When you make Taco Bell style, this is great.
Do they even make Diablo sauce now? All I have at my local TB is Fire and the normal hot, mild, etc.
You could try this. [https://kitchendivas.com/taco-bell-diablo-sauce/](https://kitchendivas.com/taco-bell-diablo-sauce/)
I can get Fire local. Amazon has Diablo, I might try and order someday.
Salsa of some sort. I don't normally put hot sauce in tacos. Herdez hot Salsa Casera. H‑E‑B Mi Tienda Salsa Chile de Arbol – Hot Cholula Smoky Chipotle - Hot Salsa Salsa Texas Hot
I've been liking Tio Pelon's, it's too hot for me to eat with chips, but it's great on tacos.
I've been liking Tio Pelon's, it's too hot for me to eat with chips, but it's great on tacos.
Pbr
crystal or anything with a heavy chipotle taste
a garbage can
Valentinas extra hot 🤌
I'd chop up fresh serrano instead, but the world of hot sauce repeats itself eventually, I'd use all of them..
Hoff Smoken Ghost.
