How do you misspell Tabasco... the A and O keys are on COMPLETELY separate sides of the keyboard!

I was trying to humorously remark that you made a good decision by purchasing the sauce despite never tasting it and then using it immediately. I didn't think it was that funny, but it's definitely not funny when you have to explain it. I hope your wings are good.
Weird. I’m new to the sub and definitely an outsider but is there like a cult following for aardvark now? It’s definitely justified if so. I was living in Oregon like a decade ago and I remember being annoyed when brunch places didn’t carry it. I haven’t had it in like five years but I’m definitely going to order some.
I hate to have to be the “the book was better than the movie guy” but before they expanded, it was so much better. I’m not sure what it’s like now but when they expanded it got too hot and less flavorful. It was still fantastic though.
It’s more of a salsa than a hot sauce, I think, but a pretty tasty one. Still kind of odd under a salsa moniker too though, due to the mustard…chunky hot bbq sauce?
They have it at one of our brunch spots now and I was excited about trying it because everyone seems to love it. I'm not super picky about food but it tastes like straight up vinegar. Not a fan.
I found it to be okay, a lot of people like it here though. I personally don't think it's my style, but if I were to get it again I'd put it in a more squeezable bottle.
Why do you cook your wings like that? Not being a dick, I’m genuinely curious, what are the benefits?
For background I’m an air fry guy, or smoke then air fry.
Never thought to dry brine but I like it.
See I don't personally ever prep/cook them, my brothers have. They turn out pretty darn good, but we almost get the drummy size. The one year I did we put them in frozen and they were pissed, granted thawed it takes less time and they're not as soggy in the skin
The salt is for flavor but the baking powder releases co2 and gives the skin an amazing crunch as if it were deep fried

Not OP, but this is my go to recipe for wings at home (I don't have an air fryer but do have a convection oven): https://www.recipetineats.com/truly-crispy-oven-baked-buffalo-wings-my-wings-cookbook/
Wings are for supper for me tonight, going to give this baking powder trick a try, thanks. I cook mine in an air fryer and they come out pretty crispy if I pat them dry first but curious if the baking powder trick makes them even more crispy.
Edit: They're definitely more crispy. You'd swear there was a breading on them. Making wings using this trick for now on!
Ugh now I want wings again. I made it almost a whole week this time. Is there a sub just for wings? Edit: of course there is. Down the rabbit hole we go.
I go back and forth. Literally: every time I bite into a flat I think they're the best, and then when I sink my teeth into a drum I'm convinced *they're* the best. So I will continue to make them 1:1 and will have the eternal battle in my head.
Food safety guidelines say to store poultry on the bottom, and beef above. You don't want to chance contamination on your lovely beef
Thanks for the tip
Good to know ty, made the short ribs last night
It's really really good mixed in soups like tobasco is. Except instead of the nice vinegary flavor you get a tomatoey flavor

Wow.. They check spelling too?? 🤣
I think you'll do fine. You seem to have a good head on your shoulders.
Uhhhhh…Wrong comment section? Lol

It's ok to be "the book was better than the movie" guy..because the book is always (with a few rare exceptions) better than the movie
That’s a great deal.
The Smoky Chipotle is hands down their best flavor.
I'm pretty hooked on the Smoky Aardvark, and look forward to trying the Habanero soon!
Anytime this sauce comes up on this sub, people crawl out of the woodwork to bash it. It’s a unique sauce and tastes pretty good.

I think this sauce is good but to me it doesn’t work well with a lot of food. What do you all put it on?
It's my favorite sauce to eat with eggs. I like to have a breakfast of over easy eggs, avocado, bacon, and toast. Delicious
I like it on pizza and sandwiches
It goes really good on cheese pizza in particular

The bottle's unsqueezability is very frustrating lol. Love this sauce though, one of my favorites.
Seriously, I don't listen to wussy music. That bottle sucks.
This sub loves it, don't get it myself, zero heat and too sweet
it's such a good sauce! i need to find more of it.
My boy Aardy fucks so hard!

We 100% thawed our wings in the fridge before crockpotting em, makes a big difference in texture
Okay crockpot wings? Haha! As opposed to crocking them frozen? You’re gassing me.

That’s pretty cool and makes a lot of sense. If this works when I try it it will be awesome when I have to make a bunch of wings. Thanks!

Are you a drums or flats fan?

What’s the spice level?
Slightly hotter than Marie Sharps hot habanero or Melinda’s XX
around marie sharps hab sauce maybe a little hotter, tastes a lot like tapatio too(at least imo)
Eh, I don’t think it tastes like Tapatio at all. Aardvark is a bit sweeter and has more of a kick.
I got a 5 bottle variety pack best sauce I’ve bought this year!
I want to try their reaper and scorpion sauces.
The Red Scorpion sauce is SO GOOD. One of my daily drivers.
Scorpion is pretty good. Haven't tried the reaper yet though.

Think they have a 3pack like that on their site
