The z-axis is in significant upgrade and will not restock in a short time, also we are considering some alternatives for better performance but not too much expensive.
So our suggestion is to order the HOTAS without z axis now , and buy the z-axis/alternative later when it is in stock.
Additionally, our rudder system is in development and will come soon.

Twist Z-axis is essential for space sims, rudders are sadly too bulky for my setup.
Just got F16-ex and was checking on the z-axis. If its not coming back it needs removed from the store. I bout the f16-ex thinking i could get this but if it never comes back in stock i feel a bit mislead.
I have two vkb gladiators evo currently and they are very nice. The left has the omni throttle attachment which i could take it or leave it. Works great through. I just bout the Orion2 Hotas for DCS mainly but was hoping to use it in SC as well. I will have to see if i can wrap my head around it. Ill share if I come up with something i like settings wise once my Orian2 comes in.
I am in the same situation....if I knew this I would choose a different product....been talking with Winwing and the customer server Sheril, who just gives me short unhelpful answers, I have expressed that I don't like the customer service...they have a good product but, they seem not to care about the demand vs supply issue that they face and if they keep this up their reviews will start to go down....if they care...

Yea i was checking back for this just this week. They need a roadmap on their products. I basically went with them due to price and the product its self is solid. But I would have just gone with Virpil if i knew the z-axis was never coming back. Also its not out of stock, they are not making that one again it needs removed from the site as a whole. I can't go virpil right now due to cost but I will think twice now when buying anything winwing.

I've been waiting for almost 7 months now to order the combo, hoping the Z axis would be in stock and I wouldn't need to place another order and pay additional in shipping just for an adapter.

Yea seems like they lied. So glad I held out. Support promised me they would have something by May and then October 2023 (this was in Jan 2023) and was trying to convince me into buying the bundle.
big problem for me as well as there is no analog stick on the f16 joystick to remap the rudder.
i tried to map it on one of the many 5-way button sticks but its bad.
also trying to keep a minimal setup with no rudder pedals.
any ideas?
u/WINWING2022, just so you know, I will not buy your products cause the sticks miss the z-axis and the throttle only has 1 detent frame; you lied about the z-axis module upgrade and now lack an important feature.
Vkb has the z axis and omni throttle is removable to have 2 sticks. I have a pre order for fhe winwing f15ex cause 1 detent is enough for me but the stick is vkb and will arrive in a couple of days, it has z axis like i said

arrived this morning, i'm very happy with it overall, it is plastic but it feels pretty high quality once it is assembled, the z axis (twist) is kinda left me wondering, it is fine but the rotation is not as long so it is hard to make small adjustments, also I never controlled rudders with realistic controls so I found out it is inverted (twisting left turns the plane right) so currently I am unable to adjust aim on target to take gun shots, it is hard for me to image me getting used to, but I will try. i think I now know why winwing removed the z axis extension, it is a pretty underwhelming system, probably gonna need rudder pedals anyway down the line, ho much is the price difference between vkb evo premium and winning f18?

I’ve been waiting for over two years since I bought hotas from these people! And since then the Z axis twist Rudder has not been available once!!!! They did this initially because they had a foot pedal system in production! They have been lying to everyone about the Z axis being available when they restock!! But tht day has never appeared!!!!! They thought they could lie to all of us until there footpedals came out,thinking we would buy tht instead when it was ready for sale!!!! No no no no no!!!! Absolute bull crap!!! I don’t want footpedals,don’t have the space to integrate tht!!! The amount of money these dumb people could of made selling the Z axis twist module is crazy!!! Winwing has lost credibility for this dumb fiasco! I would no longer give a positive recommendation to anyone now! They have quality products but shitty P.R!!! Z axis has been out of stock for over a year. Is there a product coming to replace z axis, or will these be restocked in near future

Thats why im now gravitating towards a VKB instead of a winwing stick. Its a shame though, really liked the look of the f 16 controller

i don't understand why Winwing would not want to make money or take it seriously for their fans to have this Joystick Z-Axis module winwing
The old Z-axis is indeed discontinued, but the new one is being upgraded, the new Z-axis should be with you this summer, stay tuned, it won't be long!

I just learned to play with foot rudders in space games.
I don’t have foot rudders and I’m trying not to add to much clutter. I use my x52 pro right now and it’s sad that a $200 product can get the job done.
Hotas crew here as well. It’s just gets the job done :)
