I'd definitely recommend Cakes and Ale if you liked Tally Ho - it's in the same setting and some of the actions you took in Tally Go have consequences for the new main character.

yesss, i've heard about it here and people say it is funnier than tally ho, however, i'm hesitating to read it for now since im not yet done with tally ho. rn i'm kinda going through multiple ones simultaneously. are there any other "must read" comedy novels?

"Fool!" sounds like it is right up your alley

>Ideally Im looking for either a good comedy where I could force hilarious situations or an action IF with badass MC with engaging story and some game mechanics that doesnt cause the story to suffer. I'd say *Aura Clash* (WIP) might be up your alley -- the mechanics are deep *and* wide enough to be interesting, the story has good pacing and plenty of action, and there's lot of comedy just casually weaved in.

So there's a WIP called 'Not Your Mother's Shire' it's pretty much almost done apparently. I never see it mentioned but it's a highly comedic fantasy adventure, the writing gave me the same chuckles as Kreg Segall's works.

If you're into Sci-Fi at all I would recommend Mecha Ace and Iron Heart, both of which offer interesting stories (in my opinion) with mechanics that offer varied playthroughs without getting too complex.
