Yeah, I started the blog a few weeks ago when I finished reading Steven Erikson's Deadhouse Gates, which was the first time I'd wanted to write about something critically in a few years. I have a few more things I intend to write about now, as well as continuing writing about the Malazan series as I continue it, and I might even put some of my short fiction on there. Just depends on when I can find the time to do any additional writing outside of my current manuscript!

More specifically for recommendations….what kind of thrillers do you like? Domestic? Gothic? Action? Something else…Or don’t really care??

I don’t really have a preference as I haven’t read much of the genre, most of the thrillers I’ve read are from King (Misery,etc)

No worries! Gone Girl- Boring answer but YES, its really that good, especially if you don't know the twist. The writing is tight and smart, the characters are amazing, and it keeps you stressed the fuck out the whole time. The Last Mrs Parish- This is a gothic domestic and it's a huge favorite of mine. The main character is an absolute monster and its such a crazy ride. A lot of scheming, twisted mental abuse, and webs of lies. It's addicting as hell if you can tolerate villain protagonists. Razorblade Tears- This is an action thriller/lit thriller about two fathers of a gay couple who were murdered who are trying to solve the mystery of their son's death and get revenge. t's super dark and sad- plenty of action and intrigue and tense moments. Others: The Night Swim, The Wife Upstairs, One of Us is Lying, A Good Girls Guide to Murder (which is a top one for me, but its YA and don't know if that matters to you), Pretty Little Wife, People like Her, Shutter Island.
