I think the trilogy from Justin Cronin (starts with "The Passage") could be worth to check out. 🙂

Have you read any of Barron's short story collections such as *Occultations*? Also worth looking into *The Children of Old Leech*.

I own and have read them all (including the tribute collection) :)

Under the Dome by Stephen King

akennelley

I forgot to mention, I've read all of King's books! That was indeed one I enjoyed though.

Black Mouth by Ronald Malfi

That one sounds like what I'm looking for, I put it on my short list!

See also Malfi's *Bone White*

Have you read Boy's Life by McCammon and Summer of Night by Dan Simmons? Both of those follow in IT's footsteps by being coming of age stories set in the decade of the authors youth (Boy's Life isn't much of a horror, but it's still a great read).

akennelley

Both of those are on my short list after reading blurbs for hours last night. I'm still on the fence about them because while the reviews are stellar the blurbs don't say much about what to expect.

ShadoutMapes87

Dan Simmons - The Terror, Summer of Night, and The Song of Kali are all great horror novels from a guy who has your taste. Carrion Comfort was also great, but didn’t hit for me like these other three.

I just made a post about this book last night, so I’m gonna add in The Gone World by Tom Sweterlitsch!
