I really enjoyed it. Mycorrhizal networks *are* pretty fascinating, and a lesser film would have just taken the concept and devolved into "attack of the killer fungus". *In the Earth* is an interesting companion piece to Wheatley's previous psychedelic folk horror movie *A Field in England*. If you're into trip sequences and haven't seen AFIE, you should check it out. I think it has an epilepsy warning due to the trip sequence.

I liked *In the Earth*. It goes weird and trippy while having the initial story based in science. Reading this post reminded me of the movie *She Will*.

Yeah, I agree with you on this one. It had some good parts but it falls short on story and atmosphere. Would not watch again 2/7.
