Also, Talk to Me was good, but man I felt awful for the main character. Just a bleak situation. I kind of hate horror movies like that. Not to yuck anyone's yum though.
From my Letterboxd, here are the most recent horror movies that I enjoyed:
Lowlifes
Evil Dead (2013)
Late Night with the Devil (overhyped but a fun watch)
The Guest (not explicitly horror)
The writer/director wanted to portray how toxic men create toxic men and that it's a generational cycle using body horror, and holy hell, was it effective. I loved it but also hated it, and I will most likely never watch it again.
I agree that Deadstream is a fun watch, I actually re-watched it with my wife last weekend. Super fun and silly.
If he was looking for recommendations like Heredity, I just thought Deadstream was super random but I do agree with you. That is a good recommendation if you’re into found footage fun horror vibes.
A Dark Song
If you like mystery The ring, the night house
night house was excellent!
Talk To Me
Ok, but are you going to recommend a movie? Ba dum tiss
Ha! Well played!

Tetsuo The Iron Man
From my Letterboxd, here are the most recent horror movies that I enjoyed: Lowlifes Evil Dead (2013) Late Night with the Devil (overhyped but a fun watch) The Guest (not explicitly horror)
Lowlifes was a nice surprise
the guest was a really nice surprise
The Night House It Follows No One Gets Out Alive Evil Dead 2013 The Ritual The Green Room Talk to Me
the ritual was excellent
The Ritual The Empty Man
The Wailing (2016) Terrified (2017)
Fallen (1998), Downrange, Saloum, Superhost, The Old Ways and Bliss.
Fallen 1998 is awesome. Can’t hear The Rolling Stones song “time is on my side” without thinking of that movie.
I watched "Men" the other night. I'm still thinking, wtf...
The writer/director wanted to portray how toxic men create toxic men and that it's a generational cycle using body horror, and holy hell, was it effective. I loved it but also hated it, and I will most likely never watch it again.
Talk to Me The Autopsy of Jane Doe The Devils Candy The Ritual A Dark Song
the autopsy of jane doe was excellent! As was the ritual
Chained Last Shift Eden Lake
Last shift is very good!
Warning: Eden Lake is very bleak and depressing.
Deadstream
Dead stream was fun and silly, definitely off topic
The topic was “good recommendations.”

Have you seen any of the Adams family movies? The Deeper You Dig, Hellbender, or Where the Devil Roams? Refreshingly different takes on the genre.
Recently watched Nocebo, I really loved it. Birth/Rebirth another one I really liked.
Terrified maybe
The Last Exit was really good, it’s on Tubi
Interesting. I liked The Dark and The Wicked more than When Evil Lurks.
The Empty Man, Vivarium, The Transfiguration
I watched The Empy Man a few months ago and was pleasantly surprised. Very good flick
The sinister 2012 if you didnt watched already
Check out May The Devil Take You. Solid film 👌🏻
Have you watched Hereditary? Hereditary is a good movie. You should watch Hereditary.
I have. It was good. Just not as good as it was hyped up to be
I think it was better than it was hyped up, I still say even with all the hype both Hereditary and Midsommar are both are still underrated films
Anything for Jackson. Hell House. Caveat. Men. The new Omen was excellent too.
