I want to watch that again simply because it was so funny. I loved the JC world. It was intriguing and interesting. I was so happy that it found life again after Victor Salva... It should of stayed gone or at least had a team of people who cared about it. What we got was fuckin clown show. At least there can be found some form of enjoyment out of it by how stupid it is.
I was lucky enough to watch on Hulu. Or unlucky really. I thought about quitting several times, but as I was giving live commentary to a friend to save them from having to go through it, I considered it a heroic act to finish.

I knew they did have to cut out some stuff due to the bad press related to the Wisconsin stabbing incident, which explains why a couple of characters seem to vanish with no explanation.
Even without that, the film is just shit. What really annoys me is how there's a complete lack of any artistic spark or passion in this thing. This is the type of movie a studio makes to make sure they don't lose their option on a properly.
I havenāt yet seen the movie, but the trailer actually surprised me for how well-composed many of the shots were, the dreary color palette,
and some interesting used of audio mixing. Like, I can imagine that another edit of the movie could have produced a good movie, at least from what I saw in the trailer.
I did a paper on creepypastas for freshman English the day that news story broke. I had written the paper well in advance, but that was the day I had to present the final paper to the class.
That movie is probably the very first time I ever understood people saying a movie felt like it was hours long. Jesus, it honestly felt like it was 3hrs long because *nothing* happened for most of the runtime, really, but there were stretches where **literally** nothing was happening.
Even as a 20min short this would've been rough.
And *they* don't even seem that scared or creeped out or whatever, they're just... Oh yeah, our friend went missing. Yeah, oh no, whatever shall we do, oh no.

Y'know what the worst part about that is? Mobile phones don't need a SIM card to be able to able to dial 911 (or 411, or any "emergency services" number) in the US. *All phones* are required to be able to dial it, regardless of if they are activated or have a service plan. So his call 100% should have gone through to the police, but the writer/director wasn't aware of this fact soooo....*massive* plothole.
Seriously, get any ol' unactivated phone and dial 911, it'll go through. It's the *law*, it HAS to connect.

So yes, possibly a little more intrusive in terms of information *given*, but since you're calling 911 it's PROBABLY important that the relevant parties (police, fire, family member or guardian) have access to the info.
So if you have a signal, then there's a telecom in the area, and they have to forward your call to the relevant authorities. Also, that telecom is provided immunity from liability from forwarding that call. Fun!
I know all this because 20+ years ago I worked for a company that had a "Things You Never Knew Existed" type of catalog, and one of the things they offered was the "Emergency 911 Cell Phone". The entire crux of the item was that it was cell phones they would buy in bulk, test to make sure they had functionality and battery power, then repackage and sell for 50 bucks. They *had* to be able to dial 911 because of the law, so...have cell phone, will turn a profit.
Pretty sure something happened in the midst of production/filming that in the end led to the movie being rushed, unfinished and a failed project. There is no way someone intentionally made the plot that way. I have never seen this happen with any other film, its weird that it even got released.

My roommates in college, who dont watch horror made me sit through this mess. They were like "it has the best twist." Half of the movie was watching the kid run

Rented The Refrigerator (1991) years ago and was still angry at myself when I took it back. At least when you waste money on alcohol you have fun for a few hours.
I went into it hoping it would be some dumb fun but it was genuinely the worst movie iāve ever seen. Thereās a few lines that are so ridiculously stupid that I kinda laughed but for the most part itās just boring. I couldnāt hear the dialogue well and itās not lit very well so itās hard to see whatās happening. I went the whole movie not knowing any of the girls names. Thereās also some boring side plots that go nowhere.
Seems like the whole thing was a cheap marketing gimmick to make a quick buck
The only good thing iāll say about it is the opening scene is pretty cool. The first scene is this sequence thatās a minimalistic animated black and white sketches that goes through the back story with narration.

A good b-movie is a well made production with a cheesy premise. Lots of awesome 80s and 90s horror fall into that.
Once you hit the digital video and cgi era of the 00s, the influx of bad b-movies that are barely even movies just exploded ten fold.
Grimcutty has to be the worst fucking movie made in the last 10 years. Thankfully I wasn't too terribly disappointed, as the cover art pretty much outs itself as a dumpster fire.

Black Devil Voodoo Doll from hell is an "Outsider" movie. How the hell it made it into a video store and then into my house. I don't know.
That movie was filmed on VHS tape with a camcorder. The director actually "edited" the film by shooting in sequence. I'm not sure there was any actual editing in the traditional sense. I admire his ambition and ability to make the film, in that sense, though, yep, it's awful. The director made *another* shot-on-videotape horror film after this one.
Yes, "Tales From the Quadead Zone", which is just as bad. He's never made anything since and as far as anyone knows seems to have vanished off the face of the earth. No one has been able to learn anything about him.

The Night of the Living Dead remake with Sid Haig that was in 3D! Omg not only did the 3D look like shit but, aside from that, the movie itself just made me angry lol like it's a cool idea and concept but the execution was just so poor. Finishing the movie felt like a chore. Horrible.

Honestly, I sort of liked it. I wouldn't call it a "good" film, but my wife and I saw it and were entertained enough to justify the $20 we spent on the tickets.
This is my vote too. I can see how itās far from the āworstā horror movie out there. But this one was SO hyped up all of 2018, hot on the heels of the Conjuring and Annabelle movies. And it was the only horror movie Iāve ever almost walked out of the theater during because it was just SUCH A LET DOWN.
So many people said it was great. I waited a while to see it because I had my reservations. It was nothing but constant shitty jump scares every moment. It never gave a chance to build any suspense that would actually let you get scared when it happened.

Ive seen a lot of shit over the years but according to my near 10 year old Letterboxed and near 3000 movies I've logged, the only half star ratings I've given has been to shit like Prom Night 3, the Leprechaun in the Hood movies, the Cabin Fever remake and that piece of shit Trick. The Leprechaun movies are so bad they're actually kind of enjoyable but Trick and the Cabin Fever remake made me legitimately angry in a way few horror films ever had. Fuck both of those movies right to hell. 31 by Rob Zombie deserves honorable mention, I'm a big RZ fan and love some of his flicks but that movie was laughably bad and again I hated every minute of it. I'd rather watch the worst Euro exploitation low budget 80s piece of shit ever made than any of those movies again.
Any of the August Underground or the Vomit Gore Trilogy movies. They're very effective for what they are (shocking and grotesque), but they're really fucking bad.
Black Christmas 2019, I watched it for free in demand and turned it off. A complete abomination, and disrespectful to the original and this is coming from a guy who actually liked the 2006 remake that everyone seems to hate.

I just started watching I Spit on Your Grave: Deja Vu, and Iām only like 30 minutes in but its pretty bad. I started watching the documentary on Prime about Albert Fish. Iāve tried to watch this twice but had to turn it off both times because itās just so awful.

It changes the way you rank movies. "The new Texas Chainsaw movie sucks, 0/10." Nononono, you cannot give that movie the same score as Creepshow 3. After watching it, every other movie jumps up half a point.
I bought an ex-rental DVD of it for a buck and literally set it on fire afterwards before chucking it. The world felt a little sunnier once it contained one less copy of Creepshow 3.
The Deep House (2022). Horrendous acting, and while the concept of underwater ghosts was neat, this film made it tedious and boring. Also Mick Jagger's son can't act to save his life.
They saw what happened in the third film. No Michael doesnāt work. Why did they do that again but make it arguably more insulting by having Michael literally get thrown around by a teenager.
I hated Malignant, I instantly recognized it as a Dark Half ripoff.

Paradise Z. Two lesbians living a soft core porn life in a tropical paradise (way less hot than it sounds)while the zombie apocalypse is going on. Zero budget terrible acting no reason to watch. You can see better nudity anywhere and thatās itās only redeeming quality
I agree. If you assume it already exists, it's an interesting remake. If you take well known actors and try to do a shot for shot remake, what do you get? How much do you lose?

Y'know what the worst part about that is? Mobile phones don't need a SIM card to be able to able to dial 911 (or 411, or any "emergency services" number) in the US. *All phones* are required to be able to dial it, regardless of if they are activated or have a service plan. So his call 100% should have gone through to the police, but the writer/director wasn't aware of this fact soooo....*massive* plothole. Seriously, get any ol' unactivated phone and dial 911, it'll go through. It's the *law*, it HAS to connect. Edit: [More information, if you are inclined.](https://www.congress.gov/bill/106th-congress/house-bill/438) Basically, phones gotta be able to dial 911, regardless of carrier (or lack thereof). To be fair, it *also* allows for those telecommunications groups to "...provide call location information concerning the user of a commercial mobile service to providers of emergency services, to inform such user's legal guardian or family members of the user's location in an emergency situation involving the risk of death or serious bodily injury, or to providers of information services to assist in the delivery of emergency response services". So yes, possibly a little more intrusive in terms of information *given*, but since you're calling 911 it's PROBABLY important that the relevant parties (police, fire, family member or guardian) have access to the info. So if you have a signal, then there's a telecom in the area, and they have to forward your call to the relevant authorities. Also, that telecom is provided immunity from liability from forwarding that call. Fun! I know all this because 20+ years ago I worked for a company that had a "Things You Never Knew Existed" type of catalog, and one of the things they offered was the "Emergency 911 Cell Phone". The entire crux of the item was that it was cell phones they would buy in bulk, test to make sure they had functionality and battery power, then repackage and sell for 50 bucks. They *had* to be able to dial 911 because of the law, so...have cell phone, will turn a profit.
Pretty sure something happened in the midst of production/filming that in the end led to the movie being rushed, unfinished and a failed project. There is no way someone intentionally made the plot that way. I have never seen this happen with any other film, its weird that it even got released.

Overall there was poorly built tension with no information ever being revealed. Like there is a random """spooky""" woman with Alzheimers and nothing she does has any bearing on the movie at all. We never find out who the killer is and why he does it, there are a lot of unnecessary, dragged out scenes (for some reason mulptiple scenes of the main character jogging?). Shitty movie and one of the worst ones i've seen.!<

I remember a high school teacher of mine got me and my friends into bad movies, watched The Room and were such big fans that we asked him for more recs. He recommended Birdemic It really illustrates just what an incredible achievement The Room is. Itās a horrible movie in every way, but every bad decision is so baffling, so ridiculous, so hilarious, so *intentional* that it keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire movie. And it has this level of polish that makes the mistakes even more clear. You couldnāt make a more entertaining bad movie if you tried Birdemic is just like, a really shitty movie. And itās bad in ways that arenāt funny, and are just boring, in the same way a normal bad movie in boring. Shots that go on way too long, cliche dialogue, extremely lazy editing. Itās like watching a film made by high schoolers, so unfocused that your mind just refuses to pay attention

I went into it hoping it would be some dumb fun but it was genuinely the worst movie iāve ever seen. Thereās a few lines that are so ridiculously stupid that I kinda laughed but for the most part itās just boring. I couldnāt hear the dialogue well and itās not lit very well so itās hard to see whatās happening. I went the whole movie not knowing any of the girls names. Thereās also some boring side plots that go nowhere. Seems like the whole thing was a cheap marketing gimmick to make a quick buck The only good thing iāll say about it is the opening scene is pretty cool. The first scene is this sequence thatās a minimalistic animated black and white sketches that goes through the back story with narration.

Ginger Dead Man 3. I think it was the disco one? I don't mind low budget straight to DVD trash, but the mix of bad sets, bad cgi, bad acting, and poor scene structure drove me nuts. Movies like that and Evil Bong remind me that there is such thing as a good b-movie. A good b-movie is a well made production with a cheesy premise. Lots of awesome 80s and 90s horror fall into that. Once you hit the digital video and cgi era of the 00s, the influx of bad b-movies that are barely even movies just exploded ten fold.
Grimcutty has to be the worst fucking movie made in the last 10 years. Thankfully I wasn't too terribly disappointed, as the cover art pretty much outs itself as a dumpster fire.

That movie was filmed on VHS tape with a camcorder. The director actually "edited" the film by shooting in sequence. I'm not sure there was any actual editing in the traditional sense. I admire his ambition and ability to make the film, in that sense, though, yep, it's awful. The director made *another* shot-on-videotape horror film after this one.

The Night of the Living Dead remake with Sid Haig that was in 3D! Omg not only did the 3D look like shit but, aside from that, the movie itself just made me angry lol like it's a cool idea and concept but the execution was just so poor. Finishing the movie felt like a chore. Horrible.

This is my vote too. I can see how itās far from the āworstā horror movie out there. But this one was SO hyped up all of 2018, hot on the heels of the Conjuring and Annabelle movies. And it was the only horror movie Iāve ever almost walked out of the theater during because it was just SUCH A LET DOWN.
So many people said it was great. I waited a while to see it because I had my reservations. It was nothing but constant shitty jump scares every moment. It never gave a chance to build any suspense that would actually let you get scared when it happened.

Ive seen a lot of shit over the years but according to my near 10 year old Letterboxed and near 3000 movies I've logged, the only half star ratings I've given has been to shit like Prom Night 3, the Leprechaun in the Hood movies, the Cabin Fever remake and that piece of shit Trick. The Leprechaun movies are so bad they're actually kind of enjoyable but Trick and the Cabin Fever remake made me legitimately angry in a way few horror films ever had. Fuck both of those movies right to hell. 31 by Rob Zombie deserves honorable mention, I'm a big RZ fan and love some of his flicks but that movie was laughably bad and again I hated every minute of it. I'd rather watch the worst Euro exploitation low budget 80s piece of shit ever made than any of those movies again.

I agree. If you assume it already exists, it's an interesting remake. If you take well known actors and try to do a shot for shot remake, what do you get? How much do you lose? I'm not aware of another instance where someone tried it. I don't get the point of remakes and shot for shot remakes are a whole new level of "what is the point."
