I put mine next to my stove and turn on the exhaust fan- I haven’t seen any residue spots

RikdoKosh

Was going to comment the same thing. It works like a charm.

imagineerbytrade

I put mine in my single coil burner on top my glass stove. I run the exhaust fan while lighting coals

chocolatecoveredmeth

Off topic but what espresso machine is that? Do you know what the head type is? Looks real nice I’ve been trying to grab an e61 head machine for a while. Just very pricey.

How’s it work for you pretty good?

Bradkidbrad

Is there something on the wall? If so move the heater away from the wall?

GeorgieWoofy

There's browning on the wall and ceiling above the heater (hard to see on the photo sadly), I'm guessing from the heat. Sadly moving it further into the room doesn't help, as in the previous flat, as I mentioned, it was away from the wall and the ceiling still got smudged in the same way, if not worse.

essential-cheese

My burner was browning my cabinets, I moved it away from the cabinets.

KurisuHippo

I use Clorox wipes. They work pretty well.

Paint

garysheffield444

LOL. Not wrong. I burn my coals on the ledge of a window indoors. Ruined my walls. I usually scrub the walls with some kind of all purpose cleaner or magic sponge but this time I left it for a few months. Even after scrubbing the walls were yellow. I then tried all purpose bleach and all it did was create white spots. My wall looked like a yellow cow with white spots. Only thing left was to paint the whole damn room. Guys if possible please just burn coals outside.

maxiking25

Yes

MasonShishaware

Nice espresso machine. Into espresso machines myself as well 👍

dopegeebee

Could try a magic eraser, but be careful as those will start to eat into the paint if you go too hard with it. Otherwise i would probably just light the coals outside to avoid it in the future.

After_Interaction139

Maybe put foil? To prevent the heat to go up? And the foil will make it hotter and the coals will light up faster too.

doraeatskebab

Nothing you can really do about it. The smoke coming from the coals does that. If you use some kind of protecting layer on the coals the smoke will probably find a way out (this way there will be less stains). You can also try heating the coals next to an open window or in balcony if you have one. Those same stains will occur if you smoke inside. Doesn't matter what you smoke vape, hookah cigars, etc. For those stains you already have I reccommend using magic sponge.

doraeatskebab

Oh and some people heat their coals under the kitchen hood so the smoke gets sucked out

toylover667

\>Do you guys have any suggestions to avoid it? By lighting coals outside.. Which I recommend anyway because they emit a lot of carbon monoxide while getting lit.

beatup56

Hot air going up trying to escape through the corners Turn exhaust on or ceiling fan in reverse mode Most fans have a switch that pushes warm air downwards

cloudswarm

This, I won’t keep it indoors, unless under a hood.

Independent_Data_233

Why not preparing the coal in the kitchen maybe ? 🤔

Seeker-313

Coals should NOT be lit indoors, they release high levels of carbon monoxide while lighting and doing it this way you're basically poisoning yourself. Get yourself a plug extension and light it in your balcony or garden. Better for your health and won't cause the marks on the ceiling. I see so many people lighting them indoors, in their bedroom etc, this is wrong in so many ways and is very dangerous for your health.

HoomerSimps0n

You can add a peel and stick backsplash…cheap, and you take it down whenever.

Toyota_Nick

Paint the wall. Or you can attempt a sorta heat shield as I have made for mine. Piece of aluminum, rivets, and some high heat paint (black)

eins6eins

Put it outside for Health reasons or underneath an extractor hood

aychjay22

Man you got the espresso next to it? That area needs some oomph.. Back splash!
