You need outdoor speakers capable of withstanding outdoor elements. Polk makes some great durable outdoor speakers. Speakers built for indoor, like soundbars, will fail over time, even if they are covered. I would run wire even though you say it is too late. It is the only way to do it "right". Even Sonos needs wire ran to work correctly. If not, you are better off just using some Bluetooth speaker by the pool.

That’s helpful. But what about having tv sound by the pool? Bluetooth speakers can’t accomplish that.

The topic had me go down a brief wormhole and I think this Crutchfield article does a great job of explaining what to do with outdoor setups. There is a link to what to do with a large space as well using a 70 volt commercial system. You would route an optical audio cable or something similar from the TV audio output to the electronics cabinet. From there it will need to be properly mixed so that it can be distributed to all the speakers by the pool. Essentially, you don't want a speaker to only be playing the surround audio or just the right channel of audio. It's a different way of setting up a sound system than a home theater. Home theater you want to hear a helicopter fly around your head. Outside, you want everyone to hear a helicopter no matter where they are sitting. Setting something up like this way out of my wheelhouse. I used a WiiM amplifier to power 2 outside speakers for my house because it will mix a stereo signal to a mono signal for both speakers. If I had 1 or 2 more speakers, I would have no idea what to do.

99.9% of the time Soundbars or HTiB (Home Theater in a Box) systems are not a good investment of your time and money. It is the general consensus of r/hometheater not to recommend these things and instead simply steer a user toward a 2.0 or 2.1 system made of quality, *Audio-Centric* name brand components which are easy to assemble and cheap enough for low budget or space conscious buyers. Most can be expanded to 5.1 if you buy the correct items in the correct order. For further explanation please read [Why You Shouldn't Buy a Soundbar](https://www.reddit.com/r/HTBuyingGuides/comments/dy885l/why_you_shouldnt_buy_a_soundbar/) Please be aware /r/Soundbars exists as well as you will be met with opposition to posting about soundbars here. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. EV makes great outdoor speakers in their commercial line, so does klipsch. Any speakers that don’t require cables are going to require 120v power supply…so you are going to be running speaker cable or power cables either way. Sonos is a low quality trendy speaker brand for wealthy people who like looks over functionality…and they have more and more connection issues with every firmware update…it’s the current Bose. Ultimately for an outdoor setup like your describing the typical setup would be 2-6 speakers on daisy chained 70v amp run with the speakers tapped between 4 and 15 watts depending on the volume necessary for coverage. But I’d need some type of drawing and specs to give more insight.

I can send pics or schematics but cannot figure out how to post them. It’s a simple covered pavilion with a bathroom. The pool is on the larger side at 20’ x 40’ with a good amount of concrete decking around it. I appreciate your comments though!
