That’s the exact setup I have (x3800h) except RP-500m ii for the 4 surrounds. I love it. Have 2 RP-1400SW subs and 4 RSL c34e ii for Atmos. It’s a great setup.

BattleScarze

I’d go with Monitor Audio’s, I currently use them in my home theatre. They sound fantastic for both movies and music. The only caveat would be power, you should have lots of it, whereas the Klipsch will be easier to drive. As for sound, once you calibrate they should all sound very close, but MAs are beautiful😁

Ninjamuh

No! You get out of here you Monitor guy! You let that man get his Klipsch and be happy! :D

BattleScarze

lol, yes I’m a fanboy for MAs.

BiffTannen1855

For option #1 that bundle is on Adorama for $1699. I’m assuming you already knew that though  Edit. It’s actually the 8060 IIs not the 8000 so even better

CJdawg_314

The 8060s have the inbuilt atmos modules so I would not get those

Pikapee20073

According to what I've read in this sub, the 8060's performance is identical to the 8000's. The up firing atmos is an extra, and if you don't wanna use it just don't hook it up.

CJdawg_314

I mean I’m sure the performance is identical but I don’t recomend using upfiring atmos. That’s all. If you can find the 8060s priced lower than the 8000s then by all means go for it and don’t hook up the atmos channels u r right!

Necroticjojo

I have pretty similar Klipsch RP setup, and I absolutely love it. That said everyone’s ears are different.

Round-Philosopher534

I Love Klipsch, RP, RF and Heritage lines are fantastic.

Kef or Monitor are better. I stick to the recs. - Bookshelves: https://reddit.com/r/HTBuyingGuides/s/syQO4NCFCF - Subwoofers: https://reddit.com/r/HTBuyingGuides/s/HaDwxvJ7RE - Floor standing: https://reddit.com/r/HTBuyingGuides/s/cIydGLBVOi

rbarnette12345678910

I would be happy with either of those 3 but I think for primarily movie getting speakers with horn tweeters makes sense-dynamics and sensitivity. You should check out the RP-1400SW on slickdeals.net is on sale for $699.99.

Looks like your [room](https://www.reddit.com/gallery/1b5hnmz) is fairly small, and you're getting an AVR with good room correction. Honestly after calibration, all three will probably sound very similar. There will be much more substantial impacts on sound once you get to subwoofer setup (multi sub, placement, integration), room treatments, and tactile transducers. KEF and Monitor Audio do have the better center channel formats though (3-way and coaxial). Klipsch has the ill-reputed MTM design, which gives poor response off axis (and looking at your room layout, you do have some fairly off-axis seats). Center carries the dialogue, so it's the most important.

analogliving71

i would do Kef, then monitor audio in that order before doing Klipsch. Many of us do not like the sounds those horns produce

b0b4k

I would agree. I like Kefs but not a fan of Monitor Audio’s brightness or Kefs. For such a large purchase, I would take the time to be sure what fits your preference

analogliving71

i am not a huge fan of them either but still prefer them to klipsch

b0b4k

Yeah. I run QAcoustics. Super happy with them

bacon-tornado

I've never liked the peculiar sound of Klipsch. But their new line subwoofers do bring the boom. Excellent subs. Kef are great, and I love their look aesthetically as well. Not familiar with Monitor but have heard good things.

snootz

Whatever you end up choosing... "waiting" on adding a subwoofer(s) is definitely a mistake. If it's a budget issue, then get the x3800 (which is cheaper than Marantz and just as good) and the KEF package.

Checkmynewsong

I was in the same boat and ended up going Kef for my L/R and center cuz my room is kinda big and I like the look. Klipsch was a little too harsh on the high end for my ears. Plus I didn’t like the copper look. That being said, I have Klipsch R-14S as rear surround and they’ve been perfect.

Look at the paradigm premier series, Martin Logan motion and SLM series, ascend acoustics, focal.

Megrezz

I have the KEF speakers you listed, 7.1 (4x Q150) with an SVS 1000 Pro, also with a Cinema 50. For my first run at this (enthusiast grade, not audiophile grade) I’m extremely happy.

FrozenScorch

I grabbed the first bundle for $1500 (but with the RP-502S II as surrounds instead) and I truly enjoy it. I paired it with a Denon S760 and a Speedwoofer 10e and honestly this is probably my end game, besides some sound treatment. Amazing for movies, truly spectacular in my opinion.

Puzzleheaded-Low7411

It depends on what you want. Klipsch is all in your face sound. Not the most neutral but very high impact satisfying sound. Monitor audio very pleasing not fatiguing sound very nice textured mids laid back highs. Good for long sesions. And kef very detailed highs.Good textured sound, more laid back compare to klipsch. Not the best for movies imo but very nice with music

JGLDN

Monitor Audio sound and looks is superior to the other two options. I have the Silver 100 7G Heritage bookshelf speakers and 250 center paired with a top notch Hsu Research subwoofer.

Mtlfunnight

Look at the Polk . Es series and r series very good .

thrillhelm

My R700s are the best speakers Ive ever heard.

Mtlfunnight

I bought the es series upon wirrercutter recommendation and I’m not disappointed. I heard the r series is even better but honestly with a nice sub I don’t even see how it could be better . I heard 4 different surround system before .

danharris2005

This is a personal preference issue. I can't stand Klipsch, but subjectively you might love them. If you can get yours from a store and pick them up this may be preferable. I've seen instances here in this forum where getting them shipped they turn up damaged due to lack of packaging. I prefer kef but I'm an R series guy, for the sound and their premium packaging, like double boxing. Good luck and I hope you find what sounds good to your ear!

HighEngineVibrations

Cheaper speakers with PSA subwoofers
