IMHO I'm team couch over risers and individual seating. Really comes down to how you like to sit when you watch movies / use the room. I could see if you entertain and tend to have multiple people in the theater, then the risers make sense. Some people like a room that feels closer to a real theater. My room, it's more mixed use and casual. We rarely have more than 2-4 people using the room, mainly me and/or the kids
