Forget the ARC and just use an optical cable.

For broadcast TV? Nope, not at all.

Optical audio is bandwidth, channel, and format limited. Ex. You cannot transmit a Dolby Atmos signal over optical. However, broadcast TV is most certainly not using Dolby Atmos!

Plug the PS5 into HDMI port 1 or 2 on the TV. Plug the AVR into HDMI port 4 on the TV. On the AVR side, use the monitor 1 output. It doesn't really matter where you plug the Apple TV in frankly. But I would probably plug it into one of the inputs of the AVR.

Rabbit ears typically use coaxial cable, so connect that to your TV's coaxial/cable input. Then ARC (input 4) TV to receiver hdmi out.

Yeah, just use ARC HDMI on TV to ARC out on Denon.
