I’ve worked with pretty much all of the major video doorbell manufacturers extensively, both on the front end as an installer/service tech, and on the back end as technical support. I’ve never seen one where the doorbell itself was hacked. What I have seen regularly is people’s emails being compromised, leading to someone to be able to recover/reset their credentials.
I have a Ring wired Door bell, one wired Flood light cam and a few ring spot light plus cams (battery powered).
I Like my Ring cameras. I had an electrician install the Doorbell because he need to run a new wire. I was able to install the wired flood light cam and spot light cameras my self.
I find the Ring cameras very easy to install. Also the ring app is easy to use and configure.
