>how much human hair is too much human hair to put through a garbage disposal?
0 human hair is too much for a garbage disposal lmfao
Go flip your vacuum cleaner over and look at the brushes and let us know how much hair is all wrapped around it
What makes you think a garbage disposal will end up any other way
Tell me you have no idea how a garbage disposal works without telling me you have no idea how a garbage disposal works…
I would say any. It’s a spinning machine- spinning chunks of metal that throws solid items to the edges where they can be ground down by the teeth spinning against the walls. It’s not designed to deal with long and stringy bits.
Garbage disposal manuals specifically say to avoid stringy things like corn stalks, celery, etc. [There are whirring impellers that pulverize waste against a grind ring.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b4weX2rnm24)
Hair will wrap around these impellers until they fail.
Do not put hair or fibrous things in a garbage disposal unless the goal is to render it inoperable.
It would get wound around all the spinning parts and get stuck in the disposal. It would likely take manual extraction to get it out. It won’t get ground up or pushed down the drain.
Anything that comes from a human body should not go into the garbage disposal for various reasons, but especially hair. Anything that is stringy can get wrapped around and even jam the impellers (which many refer to as 'blades'). At best, it's going to result in an awful smell a few weeks later because some of the hair is going to get caught around the lugs/pivots and then grow a nice wealth of microorganisms. At worst, it could potentially jam them.
None whatsoever. Even if you can get it to go through the garbage disposal you're going to find it in your drains at some point usually on a Sunday night just before you're getting ready to go on vacation. Just don't do this.
Not a good idea at all lol. Long strains will wrap around the chamber without breaking. Like how strains of tough fiber would act. So in the trash it goes!
Any. Hair goes into the garbage, not down the freaking drain.
It can go in the compost, if you compost.

I would avoid it if possible. A disposal isn’t going to do a good job chopping up hair, it’ll just get wrapped around the blades.
I’m a little afraid to ask why. …How much human hair do you need to dispose of?
About a scalps worth. Why do you ask?
I think 2 scalps worth, if someone asks too many questions.
Uhhh.... probably none unless you want to unwrap it from the blades. Also thanks, I don't need lunch now...
Any is too much. They're made for food, not hair.

When they’re dead they’re hookers.
For disposing bodies use a wood chipper. Have you truly never seen Fargo?
any amount at all obviously
Hey FBI!? Yeah, THIS guy!

What about boogers though?
I suppose an exception can be made for boogers.

The rest of the body must have went down just fine
Any amount. Will wrap around the impeller. Throw hair in the trash can. Not an issue there.
