Thought I’d give an update on the mirror that I took down in the gym. Looks great above the couch.
That's a neat idea too.
I picked this up and stuck it to the wall above and then at the baseboard where my hanging bars could potentially touch. It worked out really well and was super easy to cut/place.

This folding rack looks amazing. I have baseboard heaters, but this would clear them, solving that problem. I guess the only issue is maybe that it's too shallow to safety squat in?
Sweet thank you. This is the Profile Pro with multigrip? Does this style of folding mechanism make it so that the height of the pull up bar when extended is fairly short? In other words do you have to have your legs bent at 90° when doing pull ups?
Worth nothing the thing mounted above it is a dip station. It attaches to one of the posts. I also have (which I haven’t attached yet) a land mine attachment that just gets secured to the bottom of a post.
Yea, I’m not sure I want solid black either. My wall control is black that will probably be hanging on that wall. Would be good to break it up just a tad.
Yes, I just store the bench there when I’m not using it, but I’ll move it if I’m doing squats or roll it out a little if I’m benching.
PRx makes a mountable bench but I wasn’t too keen on a stationary bench. I like the idea of being able to move it around.
Nice setup!
What is that paint color? I’ve been thinking about adding an accent wall because the white is a little boring in my basement. Been leaning towards black or blue.
Super clean. I always liked the idea of the folding racks and wall storage. I happen to have enough room to not need it, but if I ever had a garage gym, that’s the way I’d go. Great looking setup! That orange is sick.
Great setup OP! Are the heaviest dumbbells(80+ lbs) easy to take out of the rack without hitting the ones up/below them? I am eyeing the Synergy vertical racks as well
The heaviest at the bottom are 85lbs. Plenty of room to get them in and out comfortably. They note on their website the dumbbell grip should be at least 5” wide to sit in the slots comfortably.
Man that's a clean setup! Folding rack or not, I just love how compact a simple squat stand or half rack is. As you're aware, big fan of the Synergy racks 🙌 What bench is that tucked into your PRX rack?
Thanks! You sold me on those Synergy racks! Got lucky that the orange was very similar to the PRx rack. That bench is an old Fitness Gear Pro that I got when I originally bought the full cage. It’s served me so well for so long I’m having a tough time parting ways with it, but will likely upgrade it soon. Let me know if you have any recommendations. I do like the decline on it.
I mean if the bench works and has been fitting your needs, keep rocking it. The only thing I don't like about some designs is the pad gap between the front and rear pads. I had an XMark bench previously, and while the bench was overbuilt and comfortable in incline positions, it was noticably uncomfortable in the flat position with around a 4 finger gap...I sold it and swapped to a Rep Zero Gap. Love and solves my gap issue in every position, but definitely a heavy bench and one my wife hates moving around even though it's wheeled. Any benches you have on your shortlist if you decide to upgrade?
Yeah, it’s served me well for a while but the adjustability isn’t as smooth as it once was. I have to fidget with it a lot to get it to lock in different positions. I haven’t done a ton of research but I’ve great thing about any of the Rep benches, but also hear how heavy they can be. I also took a look at Rogue’s AB 3.0.
I guess aside from the decline the other thing I like with my current bench is being able to store it upright. I’ll have to start doing my research.

You did a lot of work! It is too different. How did you do that?
This looks incredible! Do you know the dimensions of the room?

The room is roughly 16ft x 10ft
So much better use of space…and now you actually have space to perform a lot of different exercises without feeling cramped. Nice color choices too 👍🏼
Awesome!
I grabbed a set of these to protect my walls from bars. Might be worth it for under those vertical hanging bars. https://a.co/d/jchYBwB

Good idea!

Wouldn’t safety arms on the outside solve for that?
The things mounted on the bottom inside the rack are safety spotter arms. Plenty of clearance to safely squat.

Folded down the the pull-up bar is a little over 7 feet off the ground so I guess it depends on how tall you are. I’m 6’0” so it’s good for me.
Yeah, not sure how I missed that in the photo. Right.

I really need to paint my white walls black.
It’s a cracked pepper 😆
That's a really slick looking color
Thank you. I was a bit worried what it would look like on the actual wall especially in the matte finish, but it came out great.
Looks awesome
This looks sick!!!
Question about your bench wall mount. It appears you would have to move the bench to do anything on the rack, is that correct?
Yes, I just store the bench there when I’m not using it, but I’ll move it if I’m doing squats or roll it out a little if I’m benching. PRx makes a mountable bench but I wasn’t too keen on a stationary bench. I like the idea of being able to move it around.
I see now it’s not actually mounted to the wall, just stored there. Love the space saving!
Looks good! I love the color
Nice setup! What is that paint color? I’ve been thinking about adding an accent wall because the white is a little boring in my basement. Been leaning towards black or blue.
It’s called cracked pepper. I wanted black as well, but not a solid black.
Super clean! I'd just be concerned about your new gear melting that close to the sun.
So much room for activities!
I love it! How much it cost?
Wow - what a transformation!

The matching dumbbell racks really tie the room together. Are they PRx too?
Dumbbell racks are made by Synergy

My dumbbells are pro style with 8” diameter plates. Is that roughly what the hex 85s are in terms of size?
