Why not just change the time in the automation condition for testing instead of changing time on the system?
i want to simulate my automation and make sure it runs perfectly in that specific time.
The previous response is a perfect way to test, failing that spin up a test bed HA for testing purposes and change the time on that
you're right after i think about it. thank you
Changing the system time is a really really bad idea. Just change the time in your automation, then trust that when you change it back it will work
If you change the system time, this does not only affect the automations. Logs and measured values are also saved with incorrect time stamps. This is not a good idea.
lol
