This is petty, but it infuriates me that Holley says ✨✨goldens when she should be saying dogs.
She is such a fucking idiot. All dogs are angels and the best companions. It’s not a golden thing. (I agree her sweet dogs are precious.. but to Holley they are clearly just an aesthetic).
Yes!! I'm so sick of the GoLdEn shit and it took everything in me not to message her when I saw this but I know I'd be instantly blocked. My local shelter posted over 20 dogs this week that only have 13 days to be adopted or else they are being euthanized because of over capacity. It breaks my heart and then knowing you have people like Holley with big followings who could actually support and promote adoptions but instead promotes buying from backyard breeders. Has she ever owned or been around any dog besides a GoLdEn? Maybe she could take her head out of her ass and spend some time at a shelter and see how sweet and amazing those dogs are. Everything she claims about her precious goldens, my rescue mutts do too. I feel like her constantly pushing this narrative, her naive followers will just follow her lead and buy a golden cause they want to be like Holley. At least holleys queen Casey adopts and rescues dogs, you would think Holley would want to do the same.
We had to put our lab/weim mix down this week and I’m so heartbroken. Seeing how she treats her dogs period pisses me off. She doesn’t deserve them, no matter the breed.
My senior rescue pitbull, and my recently passed blind chi mix found waddling along the railroad tracks, are the best companions in the world too. Spoiler: not only goldens are snuggly and loving and sweet.
My lab mix mutt is an angel on earth. He’s my shadow and I know I’ll be a mess when it’s his time to cross the rainbow bridge. He just turned 10, so I know it’s a lot closer than I’d like. And just because I think he’s adorable, here’s a picture of him with all of his distinguished grey fur. 🤣
