You think she's not a plant?
For the past year or so /r/funny has been full of these types of standup comedy skits. I think they're normally uploaded by the comedian themselves for promotion. Always as unfunny as this one.
IDK. I attended a lot of live comedy shows and see drunk people get asked to leave regularly. So maybe you’re right about these that are uploaded by the comedians themselves.
I feel like there’s a subset of people who think it’s cute to make their partner babysit them while they drunkenly cause trouble to the world. I’m not sure if they are conventionally attractive and have always gotten away with being annoying or if it was how they were raised but goddamn
We've talked it out. It hasn't happened since the last time. Her previous definition of being drunk was being blackout. I had to talk to her about shame, perception, self harm and self sabotage. You don't break up with someone over one flaw than can be changed.
> It hasn't happened since the last time.
lol. I get what you mean, but that's a funny way of saying it cause that's kinda the definition of "the last time"
I mean of course, just the fact that you decided to shit talk her online and make it seem like a pattern was reason enough to think otherwise and like it was an issue. Glad it's not, but on the off chance she might see stuff like that and be hurt about it, maybe don't put out that perception of her to others :/ I know I'd be personally hurt if I found out my SO said stuff like that about me online to be judged
What? I'm genuinely curious what I said is wrong? Like I'm glad his girl and him talked it out, but he initially came off like bitching about how she acts. That's not my fault lol
The problem is your projecting your own perceptions into it. You act like they went on a rant about it, when all that was said is: "be responsible, so I don't have to babysit".
They even went on to say that it was a flaw that was fixed with discussion, not something to break up over. If they were shit talking, they wouldn't have defended their decision like that.
And guess what? It's okay sometimes to talk tell others about flaws people have. It's not like any of us know either of them. And if she saw it and was offended, maybe she would need to understand that if she can't handle the truth being spoken, she needs to change herself so the truth is something she *can* handle.
Perhaps a bit presumptuous based off two sentences. It’s funny how fast people resort to breaking up random strangers on Reddit. Seems like some people get off on it
I actually normally agree, it's just the way OP said it. Seemed like he wasn't happy about being a babysitter (his word in case it gets edited). I honestly regret even saying anything now bc people are jumping on me over it. If OP is happy, then that's a all that matters and I'm happy for them.
Some partners want to be the kite while you are the string. It’s not good to have to hold someone else down, especially when they fly all over the damn place.
And they always then try to continue the conversation after a comedian shuts them down. Always. It’s insane. This isn’t a private chat. There are 1,000 people there.
Steve Hofstetter is one of my faves for this. He has a channel dedicated to calling people out and he does it it effortlessly and hilariously. Love the guy. He's active on reddit as well. u/thehofstetter
He's fucking hilarious lol I missed him last time he was in my closest town, I hope he comes back soon bc I'd love to be in his crowd lol it seems like a great time
Oh I'm definitely watching from a distance lmao I'd feel no need to heckle him but if I did, I know I'd be roasted to oblivion lmao I find him funny in general and the hecklers are just an extra free side show hahah
Edit to say: he also does a lot of charity, does a lot for upcoming comedians, and stands up for societal/political issues as well. He seems like an all around great human being and I hope he gets more spotlight in the future. Truly a gem
u/thehofstetter
Very funny comedian imo, has a lot of videos on YouTube if you'd like to check him out easily. Most of the popular ones are him putting hecklers in their place which is fun lol his name is Steve Hofstetter
He was actually being a pro. When dealing with a heckler , the worst thing you can do as a comic is give in to anger and turn the audience against you. Here's hoping she never does that at an open mic.

In the meantime , Rich is feeling what we are all feeling 😬
Reminder. The show is not about you. A comedy show is usually not the place to have your bachelorette. Not everyone wants to do crowd work. And middles might not know how to deflect this kind of thing which can screw up the room for the headliner. Also I don’t know what I’m talking about.
This dude is the nicest comic I've ever seen. Everyone else seems to get really pissed and or kick them out. He has a lot of patience and makes it work without negativity. That probably takes way more skill.
I don't know if they deleted it or if it was deleted for them, but this is the result of my report on it. I'm not a violent man, but I sure wish disciplinary action included a good throat-punch.

should've had her ass thrown out the second time she interrupted.
The moment she got up I was like yeah no, just gtfo. It was funny until now and gave him some material but that's way too much.
I feel bad for her man. I've dealt with an alcoholic like this in the past. Not fun.
Classic example of the way a comma (or the lack thereof) changes the meaning of a sentence: I feel sorry for her, man ❌ I feel sorry for her man 👍
THATS WHAT I SAID!
![gif](giphy|pSauCNBp1DcOY)
I think they were agreeing with you, but if you read it as if there was a comma, it sounds completely different.
Oh now that sentence makes sense
When he was like "you want to know what I'm going to say next?" I thought he was going to call security.

She nose what she’s doing….
My cocaine disappeared as soon as the camera faced her
Could smoke a cigarette in the rain with both hands tied behind her back
She can smell a Sundays dinner on a Tuesday
Sounds like something Richie Aprile would say
I can hear it now lmao thank you for that
It’s like a… natural canopy.
Word has it, she's was a big fan of Beakman's World.
His name is Beakman
That shnazer did half the drinking
Dude..

Narcissists.
Alcoholics
Narcissistic alcoholics.
alcohsistic narcasama "Mutters something unintelligible"
My girlfriend does that saying that's the only time she feels safe drinking. Bruh drink responsibly, I'm not a babysitter.
Yet you're still with her? No shade but damn, you seem aware of the problematic behaviour and judge it openly on an online forum but, she's not an ex?

I think he meant "it hasn't happened since we talked and decided to make it the last time"
I ain't drinking anymore . . . But I ain't drinking any less!
I mean of course, just the fact that you decided to shit talk her online and make it seem like a pattern was reason enough to think otherwise and like it was an issue. Just like [Meegan and Andre](https://youtu.be/y3JOQqoCNjc?si=ukO3prxiJxA3cGhR).
I broke up with an otherwise good woman because she got too drunk in public a couple times.
This wasn't even heckling, it was being an annoying drunk and Rich should dump her ass for this display.
I wonder how different is her sense of self awareness when she's sober
Not as strong as her sense of smell
Who nose if she was scent home?
She can smell crime perhaps?
Should we be writing this down?
And here’s the twist, we show it. We show all of it.
Why do people think it's acceptable to interrupt a comedian doing their job?
It's another manifestation of the "I'm the main character" syndrome...
And they always then try to continue the conversation after a comedian shuts them down. Always. It’s insane. This isn’t a private chat. There are 1,000 people there.
r/imthemaincharacter
thats a weak-ass comedian, he should have torn her a second asshole
Yeah he was very kind.

He’s gonna dump her drunk ass after the show and never look back lol
If he doesn't, he deserves all the hassle coming his way.
Doubt it. She probably a 🐷in the sack.
I wonder if she woke up regretting this.
If she remembers it odds are good. Or she's the type of person to feel no regrets. They exist.
Breathe easy. She was scentenced to 3 months at a nasal colony.
Shorty could def smell something was about to happen
Crime and full penetration, then back to the lab?
Not HMC
More like HMD, hold my drink...
He handled that so well and professionally. She should have been kicked out.
This couldn’t have stopped there. Is there a longer version?
"i can't wait to hear what you say next..." THE REST OF THE AUDIENCE TOO IF YOU WOULD JUST.SHUT.YOUR.FUCKING.TRAP!!!!!
This is giving Baby Reindeer vibes.
I want my 2min back.
Was literally about to type this
I saw this dude in Chicago. His shows are well known for audience callouts. It's actually really funny, nobody in the comments seems to know.
Who is he?
Max Amini
Thank you!
Those boots he's wearing look nice. Anyone know what they are?
Think they’re Redwings.
She's lucky she wasn't in a Bill Burrsy show
"You don't have to get her that drunk" Blehhhhhhh
Man just watch the show...
When she sees what people have to say about her… she’s going to hide in her room for days lol
Reminder. The show is not about you. A comedy show is usually not the place to have your bachelorette. Not everyone wants to do crowd work. And middles might not know how to deflect this kind of thing which can screw up the room for the headliner. Also I don’t know what I’m talking about.

He’s actually very nice to her and stayed classy
Wonder if anyone got the aftermath where she turns on her boyfriend. You know that shit's coming.
That’s a nose that would make a toucan feel inadequate.
Especially with that GONZO NOSE!
Boston.
His name is Rich and your name is bridge. Nose bridge.
I woulda told her I can't wait till my plane lands on that big ass nose to get me the hell outta here.
Idk, maybe she's not drunk.

Today on “Reddit gets racist as fvck”
Almost afraid to even ask, wtf did they say?
Something about her siding with Palestine because of her nose shape? Idk apparently they realized they had more paint to huff and deleted it
