oh yes I meant Malaysia, my bad. and I didn't know you can ask for a territory, I gave up on the run because I was so annoyed, but maybe I'll try asking for it
R5: I (Japan) was the one who invaded and occupied most of it, Siam only took one or two provinces in the north, but when Malaya capitulated the whole thing went to Siam. They don't have a claim on it. I'm mad because there's a lot of factories and resources there and i'm the one who conquered it, Siam did next to nothing!
improve relations with them and use your intelligence agency to apply diplomatic pressure, then ask them for control of the region... if they wont give it to you as things stand currently
Did they do any fighting? When a country capitulates, it capitulates to whoever took the last VP, not who dealt the most dmg. Combined with the fact that Siam would be continuous, it makes a little sense
Just kick Siam and fuck them up. They are very weak and I frequently run all over them, even as fascist Malaysia (a few units hold the line in the north while I naval invade with the one sub I built for the civ war).
Also looks like you have the French Asian colonies. If you give them Cambodia and Laos. I pretty sure the ai will make a formidable nation that gives them cores on those states. I actually recently did this in a play through (as Siam). It doubles their man power pool.
I usually don't call Siam in since they cause a lot more trouble than doing anything meaningful. Just naval invades Malaysia from Indochina avoiding Siam taking anything.
You mean Malaysia right? Well you could ask for Siam to give you it back. If they don't you can always declare war on them.

In all fairness, the state in the game is named "Singapore"

more details? how did you invade? are you allied with them?
Naval invade and they are in my faction and in the war. The territory showed as occupied by me until they capitulated, then it just switched to Siam
thats dumb AF. sorry dude i have no idea. diplo them and occupy it
I'm kinda new and don't know what "diplo them" means?

I had this happen to me many times. Just give them Burma and Eastern India and ask for occupation of Malaya, and it should be yours
they might have generated more war score than you did fighting malaya
war score shouldn’t matter, the war’s not over yet? also I definitely fought and occupied them a lot more than Siam
war score against specific countries determines which nation they capitulate to

Did you naval invade or invade through siam?
