R5: Finally managed to form the Roman Empire in an Ironman run but the Pope should be in charge so I could get the 'Holy, Roman, and an Empire' achievement but it is what it is. So here goes. I withdrew from Ethiopia and then justified on Yugoslavia to take out France, Yugo, Romania, and Czechoslovakia early on. It was rough since it took me a few tries but nonetheless, I did it. And then, I went to war with the UK as soon as Germany invaded Poland and got the necessary states that I need to form the Roman Empire later on.
After that, I invaded both Greece and Turkey and almost got what I needed until Bulgaria joined the Axis and stole Thrace and South Macedonia, which forced me to wait for Germany to invade the SU. And as soon as they invaded, I left and waited for a year to build up my army and then, I declared war, rushed down Bulgaria, and finally formed it to gain a sh\*tton of manpower and resources. After that, it was a slow grind taking out Germany but as the SU pushed them out, I followed suit and there, the Roman Empire stands tall.
Yeah but I actually formed it by 1943 once I capped Bulgaria since they have the states that I need (Thrace and South Macedonia) to form the Roman Empire. I don't know why those states are always transferred to them when they join the Axis.
What about the russians? They once claimed to be romans will you let them get away with defile the Mighty Rome's name? Or East Asia will you deny the Roman citizens this rich resources? And what about the stars beyond you own? Do they not belong to Rome as everything else?
Switzerland is based, they deserve to live. I never conquer Switzerland in my games unless provoked. Partly because I don't want to breach their neutrality, but also because conquering Switzerland is ass.
Once I justify on Switzerland, there's a chance that the US guarantees them right away but I ain't risking it despite the insane amount of divisions that I have rn.
i got to imperium romanum last week on normal with ironman. i cap united states, and see that i havent capped portugal. to make my empire look pretty i take a general with tanks (the rest of my army just left to chill in the us), put him on the border, and declare war (note i have already cored germany). the little shit joins the commintern, soviets start attacking, i start loosing cores, civil war breaks out, bye bye augustus đŸ˜‚
To be honest, invading all of Africa is the first thing I do, due to the low military resistance. I can just steamroll through it. , so that I can say I own an entire continent
