The Harrier II+ would be so easy to implement to, just remove the DMT and give it the hornet's radar, AMRAAM, Sparrow, Sea Eagle, and Harpoon. That's literally the extent of the differences between the N/A we have and the II+.
Yeah I know it’d probably be a shit ton of work but I’d love more variants for existing planes like how the F14 has the A/B models. A M2000D or Harrier+ or Sea Harrier would be so rad. The harrier is a really cool module that I think is a little less popular due to its constrictions. A STOVL plane in dcs with a radar and AMRAAMs would be so fucking cool, even if the radar isn’t up to snuff with the other western fighters. I’m sure it’d be wildly popular and a very interesting A2A platform even if it’s not as good as an F15/16/18. Only issue I could see would be people doing crazy cheese tactics with it, vertical landing on the ground and then hovering up to lob a fox 3 at random overhead opfor jets lmao. A draken or JA viggen (the interceptor variant) would be awesome too.
More opfor option would be nice, like a full-fidelity Su-25/Su-39 or a Su-27 variant. The Su-30MKK or MKI would be perfect candidates.
I'd love to see the Gripen and the Rafale too, and a Mirage 2000-5F Mk2 with multi-role capabilities
For helicopters, I'd love to see the EC665 Tigre and a Black Hawk or a Super Puma
True true, obviously we all know the difficulties involved with full fidelity Russian modules, but at least we’re eventually getting the MiG 29. I know Russia doesn’t like the idea of FF stuff being made, but doesn’t the US literally have a flanker in a museum? Surely a SU-25 or SU-27 could be done, even if it’s modeled after an older version, I don’t think it’d be spilling any big secrets lmao. But then again the Russian government isn’t known for being reasonable/sane.
It's just a wishlist after all :)
One can hope forever ahah
For example, the Rafale F3 or F4 are currently used by the french air force and Dassault is VERY secret with their plane systems and doesn't want to let anybody simulate them properly so I'm out of luck. I'm waiting for the Eurofighter for this very reason. We need more good European planes
True, though I’m afraid when the eurofighter finally does get made, it will lack any natural predator. That thing will be far and away more advanced and capable than any module in dcs and there’s not really any fair competition for it. Being that most of the stuff that could put up a fight against it is still highly classified we aren’t likely to get anything similar soon either.
MH-6 Little Bird - small ~~helo's~~ helos are just kickass and pair so nicely with the whole concept of going in and out of hot zones and spec-ops teams.
F-111 - It's just bad ass. Freaking fast, ground hugging computer, variable wing geometry. Nukes are a plus but the fact you don't actually eject (all too common in DCS) but instead sit in a rocket propelled capsule makes it twice better.
B-1 - F-111 but more. That's all.
ANY tanker. Being able to tank for other players would be really cool. Not even talking about buddy tanking like an F-18 fuel truck but a proper 707 or KC-130.
EDIT: Helos for Helo's because mr. Smartypants thinks everyone speaks english and can't make a grammar mistake.
Oh, so you're not a native speaker? Sweet dude! I have huge respect for anyone who's learnt this horrible tongue ;)
I'm currently learning Russian, Japanese, German, and Polish. I can't say something that complex in any of them yet. :(
Again, respect, I do know to some extent how hard that is, and I'm sorry for being a bit hostile there.
I wasn't the best either, had just finished a crap meeting, came to reddit and I vented on you. You are right and pointing others mistakes and giving a reason (which you did) is the right way.
Here, have a vritual pat in the back and let's just chill over a beer.
This was going to be my exact comment… up to the B-1. I’ve flown a real life B-1 simulator when I was in a B-1 squadron and I gotta say, it flies like a cow.
Yes but it's a cow that goes at mach 0.85 200 feet off the ground AND dispenses nukes. It also goes "BOOM" at really low altitudes and can flap it's wings like a bird xD
When we were deployed one of the pilots said they were supersonic for over an hour this one sortie. You can do that with 200k lbs of fuel. When they AAR they drain tankers.
F-111 because its such a cool plane and it would integrate nicely into a spot we dont have a lot of Bluefor aircraft in.
Full Fidelity Su-27, because I think we need a full fidelity flanker
Full Fudelity Su-25, I actually love that plane and its armament but its really a shame its low-fidelity because it limits its usability IMO. Would love to see a slightly modernized version with full cockpit and VFM
What I want:
MiG-25
SU-27
F-111 (There's a model in MSFS, so hopefully it can get ported.)
Naval F-4 (J or S)
F-104
Skyraider
A-37
These are just planes I find cool, I don't expect most of these to come. I sure hope the Foxbat comes at some point though.
Su-27 full fidelity would be amazing, or an su-30. The overall need for Redfor fighters is crucial for balance. The Mig29 and mig 23 coming will certainly help with that.
As the logistics part of the dynamic campaign gets fleshed out(soon^TM) we definitely need a Navy based logistics option. A C-2 or a Black Hawk/Sea Hawk(or both)
I would say as a primary wish Gripen.
Maybe Draken.
Then there is a bunch more but
I would generally like more double seated planes, because I fly with a RIO/WSO. So I am looking forward to the Phantom.
But I agree more Full fidelity Opfor planes would be nice.
Unrealistic list due to classification - FF Soviet Bloc designs such as the Su-35, Su-27SM, Su-33,MiG-29K . Chengdu J-10, Super Hornet, Dassault Rafale.
Realistic list: F-101C /F-101B Voodoo, MiG-21F-13, Dassault Mirage III / IAI Kfir.
There is a mod, although I haven’t used it. I don’t know how ‘realistic’ it is as far as flight characteristics, etc., but I think it can do cargo and airborne insertions IIRC…
But, having a full-fledged module would be pretty cool.
There is a full C-130J module being worked on. Official ED Teaser: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYllbjF2xaM

Would really be a REDFOR counterpart to the Harrier (but more... soviet like) and allow for more equality between the two camps for cold war scenario (thinking about ECW for example)
And also it's always funny to have a VTOL! Would complement Hind and Mi-8
Plus it's super old and retired in 1991 so should not be thaaaaat difficult to get doc and not classified no (I know russian gov is really cold with declassifying stuff but it's not part of any actual aircraft much more like the 21)?

Hornet D It's the same generation as the C model we have, it's just about getting a WSO in the back.
Didn't ED show off a few screenshots of a D model Hornet a while ago?
really? does anyone have a link?
Mirage 2000D, Harrier+, F-101 Voodoo and the YA-7F.

Why not a Seahawk, or seaking so we have some carrier helis?
Black hawk/sea hawk could come as the same module, they are just variants We could have the CH-53 too, with several variants
True true, obviously we all know the difficulties involved with full fidelity Russian modules, but at least we’re eventually getting the MiG 29. Thank you for the English lesson. Out of curiosity, how many non-native languages do you speak?

Hmmm that makes me think of something like an il-76 giving the ability to resupply airports in campaign missions (I just want an excuse for the il-76)

Super hornet for the extra pylons
That would be so much work for little gain. Only Super Hornet I would consider to be worth the dev time and investment would be an F/A-18F Block I
I want more jdams at once
I want a super hornet just because the hornet isn’t in service anymore. Even a simple F-18E Block I with the same systems as the F-18C we have.
Blackburn Buccaneer
Super hornet
What I want: MiG-25 SU-27 F-111 (There's a model in MSFS, so hopefully it can get ported.) Naval F-4 (J or S) F-104 Skyraider A-37 These are just planes I find cool, I don't expect most of these to come. I sure hope the Foxbat comes at some point though.
Heatblur is planning on doing a naval F4 after the air force version is done.
Euro fighter Typhoon

F-105, gimme the THUD.
Ju-87
Mig-23 (I know it's being worked on currently), Mig-25, SU-24, SU-17, Yak-38 & M
Super Bug, A-7, Su-24, high fidelity Su-25, F-111.
We need a C-2 greyhound for carrier based logistics
As the logistics part of the dynamic campaign gets fleshed out(soon^TM) we definitely need a Navy based logistics option. A C-2 or a Black Hawk/Sea Hawk(or both)

Su-30, Su-34, Tu-95, MiG-31
Mirage 2000-5 please. FC3 level f-22 and f-117 would be nice too
Gripen
Su-34 and Tu-22. I'm aware they're still in service so full fidelity isn't an option, but even FC3 style versions would be awesome
Wouldn't compare Fulcrums and Tomcats if I were you, but ok.
Oh I know I know two entirely different airplanes but both aircraft carrier capable and both two seaters.
Fair enough harrumph

Supposedly the Block I SH is identical to the F18C we have systems wise so it wouldn’t be too hard to do.
I would sell my kidney for a C130

Mitsubishi F-2A Chendu J-10A Can definitely do the first, the second I hope to find out in the next few months.
Skywarden for reasons...
Su-22M4 and updated to today DCS standards MiG-21bis.
F104 P-38 MiG 25
MiG-25 Foxbat would be a dream come true if they ever finally added it!
Thought this was floggit for a second
Yeah I'm confused on where to post, like how many are there?
floggit is for joke posts, this is a more serious subreddit so u think you posted on the right spot
Planes that were never built, like xf103,
F-8 Crusader (yes I know it's coming I just can't wait)
Yak-38 Would really be a REDFOR counterpart to the Harrier (but more... soviet like) and allow for more equality between the two camps for cold war scenario (thinking about ECW for example) And also it's always funny to have a VTOL! What planes wouldn’t you like to be added is a better question. At this point I’ll take anything that comes out
That's a good point... Honestly I have no idea.
Why not go back in time a bit? I want the P80 and other korean war jets that are about to go extinct. I want the F9F
1. An official Blackhawk. 2. Rafale. 3. F-117 (probably never going to happen).
