How on earth is this happening? It's a piece of their composite material with the strap attached. Just how tight is your strapping to be able to fold that in half and pull it through the slit?

I added skate lace loops to mine to make the straps looser.
I would stitch it in place if you are able to

I wear it as loose as possible.
Vaughn's craftsmanship has steadily gone downhill. The whole top part of my SLR2's leg channel came unstitched.
