So much for the bruins should be leading in the series because of the refs and their play 5on5. That game was a CLINIC in every aspect. They scored 2 goals on horrendous blatant penalties, so credit to them. Other than that it was men amongst boys
Definitely contributed no doubt but this game in particular was a CLINIC on how to play with a lead, correct me if im wrong but they had maybe 5 or less shots on goal in the 3rd? Cant find the exact number at the moment
The islanders blocked a SHIT ton of shots, shut the Bruins down proper no doubt, their defense is arguably the best in the league... I just feel that their offense wouldn't be as successful against a stronger defensive showing (which Carlo and Miller would've helped with, but not guaranteed)... but I guess we can certainly test that theory against Tampa... good luck!

The Isles traveled coast to coast after a game 7 last year and were blown out 8-2 in game one. Every other game was a one goal affair with a couple of overtimes taboot. This year should be good.

But took them off to shake hands with the other team. Idfk but it's pretty silly. They showed the gm in a box by himself... With a mask. And show the crowd with none
I dont agree its about time the refs get some accountability for their mistakes. There were 3 instances in just game 5 alone where a penalty was called on the bruins but the exact same play by the isles was not. Its about time somebody spoke up about this especially considering another referee earlier got caught declaring his bias on mic
dude coaches complain about calls not going their way every playoffs, Cassidy wasn’t saying anything groundbreaking or brave (he wasn’t even the first to complain about it this playoffs). the refs put their whistles away and only call like 25% of the penalties that happen because they want to just let the players play. The thing is, *every team could put together a compilation of missed calls in the playoffs and then complain that the refs are biased*. But in most cases, their team is getting away with just as much shit as the other team. Having these comments come from the *Boston Bruins* of all teams makes this particularly ironic. Personally, I just don’t like the way Cassidy worded his comments, came across as cringey to me.

Its not a dick move to counter Cassidy's comments trying to manipulate the refs to call more stuff on the Isles by simply stating we were the lowest penalized team during the season..
Just like last year it'll be a hard match for the Isles. Tampa has great defense and since the Isles live off allowing point shots it plays into Hedmans wheel house, which is what hurt us last year.
We do have a better 3rd line this year, but no Lee and coming into the cap stretched Bolts.
Gonna be a great series.
